Hi @Vitaly. Just want to ask if this plugin will also work on SCORM package? Is it possible to make a scorm package a Computer adaptive test?
Hi Kennedy, yeah, the work is running.
Requesting for adaptive quiz plugin for Moodle 4.2?
Hi Sanvidha,
The quiz-takers are not supposed to see any detailed reports. They can see only the general ability measure value (though even this is arguable and can be configured per each quiz). This is a debatable question and is covered in those articles linked in the plugin's description. Anyway, there are no plans to introduce reports for students in the plugin, CAT is not intended to provide such reports as first thing.
Hi Ahsan,
I'd suggest to create an issue in the plugin's tracker (find the link in the plugin's description above). It's much more convenient to run the discussion there. Thank you!
Hello Team,
I am facing issue with the result chart/ anlaysis chart. The image is bot displaying. Can anyone suggest what might be the problem. Moodle version is 4.1 - Attempt Graph picture not dispaly- just icon on screen. I tried doing load image but no use.
Hi, thanks for this useful plugin. One of the issues I have is that my students can't see the reports after their attempts. It only show the final grade for them but they can't see the details. As the administrator I can see their detailed report but I can't see the charts from my end as well. Please advise at your earliest convenience.
Regards,
Sunny
Hi Gustavo,
Sure, you can always create an issue in the plugin's GitHub repository to propose the feature you'd like, the link is in the 'Useful links' section above.
Though, for the discussion with other users of the plugin involved, it'd be great to have a dedicated section in the moodle.org's forum, I'm planning to send a request for this to the forum's admins.
The general problem with the plugin dev currently is that I'm heavily involved in a commercial project on a full-time basis. The situation should become better in a month or so.
BTW, i've experienced the same issue that Connie mentioned. The test ends saying with "Unable to fetch a question for level ..." even though there are many questions available.
Thanks in advance.
Hello my friend.
First of all, congrats for the work.
Do you have any intention of adding new features to the plugin? For example, support to HTML in the FEEDBACK field and a TIMER for the quiz?
Regards!
Thank you very much, Vitaly, for the quick reply and the offer to look into it! See you over there at GitHub.
Hi Connie,
this is interesting, though I cannot answer it in a helpful way. Of course I have much better understanding of how it works since the time I adopted the plugin for maintenance, but this one requires some investigation. I'd start with posting your entire quiz config somewhere. Basically, the tracker link is in the plugin's description above. You can quickly create an account on GitHub (if you haven't one), and then create an issue in the plugin's tracker. It's way more convenient to keep the discussion there.
Hi Vitaly and all,
we've gratefully been using this plugin with our students and they enjoy the new type of testing experience. But they've also encountered the following reoccurring issue: About 20% of all attempts stop with "Unable to fetch a question for level ...". This happens although there are more than 20 questions on each level in the chosen question pool (tagged with adpq_1 to adpq_4) and we have set the maximum number of questions in the quiz to 10. The problem occurs not only with a certain difficulty level but on several ones. And we have had it happening after all different numbers of attempted question (2 to 9). Can anyone explain what might be happening here and how we could fix it? The students are increasingly getting frustrated and are reverting to conventional tests.
Hi Eka,
There's an issue on the plugin's tracker already - https://github.com/vtos/moodle-mod_adaptivequiz/issues/19
In short, it's related to Moodle core and I need either to create an issues in the Moodle;s tracker and fix it first, or to wait for it to be fixed in futuer versions. Anyway, new version of the adaptive quiz plugin is expected no earlier than December-January. Currently it officially supports 4.1 only. It's also planned to move away from the legacy graphs and use modern dynamic charts in the plugin's reporting, but this is something for the next year i think.
Regards
Vitaly
Hello, Vitaly...
How are you?
It was great when the final version of Adaptive Quiz for Moodle 4.0 was released with bugfixes.
Our school is very helpful in providing services to students in the form of differentiated assessments using the Adaptive Quiz plugin.
However, currently our IT team has upgraded Moodle to the latest version (Moodle 4.3.x), which is unfortunately the current version of Adaptive Quiz plugin-2.3.1 (2023011500), apparently cannot run properly on Moodle 4.3.x, even after our IT team tried to downgrade Moodle to version 4.1.6, the plugin still doesn't function as well as it did in Moodle 4.1.1.
The problem is when students have completed the test on the Adaptive Quiz, on the report page, Attempt Graph and Answer Distribution's graphs cannot be displayed (only the x icon or crash icon appears). But still the Table View of Attempt Graph and Table View of Answer Distribution displayed correctly.
And if we try to open the crash graphic's link, the following error message will be displayed:
"
Exception - imagearc() expects parameter 2 to be int, float given

Debug info:
Error code: generalexception message

"
In my opinion, this is probably due to the difference in PHP required by Moodle version 4.3.x which uses PHP8.x, whereas previously when the plugin functioned well, Moodle still used PHP7.4.
Please provide improvements so that we can enjoy the Adaptive Quiz plugin again in the latest Moodle.
Thanks in advance.
Healthy and successful wishes always.
