I'd really like to use this plugin, and although I understand the rationale behind not using a time limit as that would restrict the adaptive process, if we are to use the system, we'd still need to set some boundaries for time limits so they can't take e.g. 10 hours to complete their test (in which they can search for their answers).
Is there any kind of add on or work around which would allow for a time limit to be added to this?
Hi Abdul, thanks for trying the new version out! Please, feel free to create an issue in the plugin's GitHub repository with the bug description - https://github.com/vtos/moodle-mod_adaptivequiz/issues.
Hi @Vitaly Potenko. Slightly in need of repair. On the Review Attemp page --> Question Details, when you will see the summary on the next page by clicking the number 2, it does not go to the next page but will go to the Attemp Summary.
Thank you, @Vitaly Potenko . This makes thing much easier for us!
The latest plugin version now is 2.1.1 and besides improvements from 2.1.0 it also ensures compatibility with Moodle 3.11 branch starting from 3.11.2. Enjoy!
Hi @synnac song, at this moment it does support 3.11.6 only, that's because it was essentially tested on this version. But in the nearest future the compatibility will be ensured with the 3.11's earlier versions as well. Stay tuned!
@Vitaly Potenko,hi,Vitaly,it seems that 2.1.0 requies Moodle 3.11.6, is it possible to work on older version?
Hey folks! The new version has been released - 2.1.0. It mainly aims at user experience of the reporting part of the plugin. Please, check the release notes for more info. As usual, feel free to report any plugin issues in the plugin's GitHub repo (check the link in the plugin's description). A big thank you to all who helps to make this plugin better!
It would be better to add a time limit option in completing the adaptive quiz if it is in measuring ability. The time limit option can be activated when an adaptive quiz is used to measure ability, as is the case with the time limit in the classic Moodle quiz.
Thanks to Vitaly Potenko, I've run the previous version of the adaptive quiz and the latest version has a lot of maintenance so it's much better 😊
Hi Abdul, at this moment the plugin doesn't have such functionality. But from my point of view it's also debatable if an adaptive quiz, which is aimed at ability measuring, should have any time limits... Would be happy to get any opinions on that.
Hi Vitaly Potenko, can this adaptive quiz be given a time limit to complete the quiz like the classic quiz on Moodle where you can adjust the length of time for a quiz.
Thank you
All good! Thanks Vitaly!
Ah, sorry, Andrew, I mislead you in fact - the required Moodle version, 3.11, is set in the plugin's settings. So you have to install it on 3.11.4+ only, it'll not work on 3.10. Sorry for the confusion! The version for 3.10 (and probably even for earlier Moodle versions) should be definitely released for this plugin. Hope, this will happen soon.
Hey Vitaly - Thanks for the help. I'm now getting a validation failure, but I suspect it's an issue with my Moodle install, not the plugin. [Error] Required Moodle version [2021051704.13]
Installation aborted due to validation failure
Hey Andrew, the latest plugin version currently is 2.0.1 (2022020400), check out the versions section on this page. Also, 2.0.1 (the latest one) should be downloaded by default if you use the Download button on the top right corner of this page. The latest version is marked as for Moodle 3.11, but it should run smoothly on 3.10 as well, please, try it out.
