Thanks for the feedback, Randy; I'm listening. In the current version of the module (2.8.3) this would be difficult to achieve, but I'm working on a new version where the code will be organized in a way that makes it much more feasible to add new filter types. After I release the new version I will work on adding a completion filter. I've made an issue for this at https://github.com/CLAMP-IT/moodle-blocks_filtered_course_list/issues/52 .
Kevin,
I second Helder's suggestion for the ability to filter by course completion. It is a feature much in demand by trainers who have users complete courses but keep them enrolled in them afterwards so they have future access to the content. It is very common.
I see this as a filter just like the "Current" Future" and "Other" branch in the menu in the screenshot: there would be one called "Completed courses" and any courses that for this user that are still 1) available 2) enrolled in, and 3) have course completion marked, then they would automatically go there instead of in "Current".
Customizations by the user such as drag-n-drop ordering or sorting (like in the Dashboard now) would be nice, but not vital.

Hello, Jose. I've tried to reproduce the problem you describe but so far I have not been able to. The upgrade is not expected to have any impact on settings, and for me it does not. Can you tell me more about your settings, maybe with a screenshot? Are you able to reproduce the problem?
Today I update the plugin in my TEST enviroment from block_filtered_course_list v2.8.2[2016052600] to v2.8.3 [2016080800] but now insted to see de Category List of Cours, I see "Other Courses" as group and the list the other courses where the user is not enrolled. How can i keep my old functionality ?
Hi Helder,
That is not currently a feature of this plugin, though it's an intersting idea. Are you imagining this as an admin setting? A user setting?
Hi Kevin, is there any way to filter courses by course completion, showing only courses not completed?
I'm pleased and honored. Thank you. CLAMP schools have been using the block for a number of years now, and I am only the most recent in a string of maintainers that includes Caroline Moore, Sarah Ryder and Charles Fulton. Many others have also contributed ideas and testing time; this has definitely been a collaborative effort.
CLAMP is the "Collaborative Liberal Arts Moodle Project," and anyone who is interested can read more about it at:

Thanks Kevin for sharing the block with the community. I really like the provided functionality and the robust way how it is implemented. If I was still the university teacher and the Moodle administrator, this is exactly what I would be looking for. So I am happy to give this plugin our "Reviewers' choice" award now smile

I left just couple of suggestions for further improvements of the block in your issues tracker. You are cleared to land now, welcome to the Plugins directory!

I'll work on the prechecker results and get back.
