Multi-Language Content

Hi all, I've discovered an issue with v2.0 whereby it's stopping me from running other Behat tests for other plugins as it doesn't like the commented out line on line 9 of multilang2.feature. I found moving this comment above the actual config value setting fixed the error.

Regarding to your problem, the first thing I highly recommend you to do is to upgrade your Moodle site version, as the 3.4 has no support since 2019.
But, if you still want to work with it, make sure that the atto plugin version you are installing is noted as compliant for Moodle 3.4 (in this case the one named as v2.0 (2017102700)).

I installed the plugin, (after installing the multilang2 filter correctly) and when I update the DB I get this:
Exception - Call to undefined method admin_settingpage::hide_if()
Please, if someone can tell me how to fix this (I'm just in the middle of erasmus collaboration with the platform) Thanks!

Hi Patrick,
Which Moodle version are you working on with? Please, make sure that both multilang2 plugins (filter + atto) are compatible with the Moodle version you are running.
If what you are experiencing is a bug, use the GitHub repo as the bug tracker please. Also, a more detailed description of your issue with some images could be helpful.

Hi, I've installed the original multilang2 plugin but when I try to add this to atto it sais that multilang2 seems not to be installed. It's activated in filters for content and title. Any ideas?

Yes, it will be great if the plugin could be updated for Moodle versions 3.6 and 3.7. At the moment it installs fine, unfortunately language icon is not displayed and language tags are not marked.

could you try my revamped version of the plugin available at https://github.com/iarenaza/moodle-atto_multilang2 ? I've fixed several bugs of the original version (and have contacted Julen to join forces to maintain the plugin).

in addition to installing the plugin, it has to be enabled in the Atto editor toolbar (third-party Atto plugins are not added by default). Have a look at the installation instructions at https://github.com/iarenaza/moodle-atto_multilang2#installation

I tried to use this plugin in Atto, but then the menu bar in "Contents" disappears totally . In "Description" it works fine. Is this a known bug? When I removed the menu option for this plugin from the Atto editor, the whole menu appeared again. Puh!

This plugin is for only displaying one language at a time. If you are trying to display more than one language at a time, for example in a vocabulary list in a foreign language course, this plugin is not the plugin to use.
I need to have each language displayed in a different style, so I thought this plugin would just put a span around the text with lang="xx" around it, but that is not the purpose of this plugin.

Sorry for the delay, but last times have been pretty busy for me.
There's a known issue regarding the questions that is pending to be solved.

Thanks for the work on this- this is a fantastic idea. Multilangfilter2 is really great and a big improvement over the previous version. However, this particular atto integration does not seem to work well for me. In fact, I had to uninstall so that I could use Multilang2 again. With the atto plugin in place, the editor would highlight my tag and prevent me from editing it. As soon as I included the bracket "{" the problems began. I had this behaviour even after disabling the highlight feature in the settings dialogue. Finally, I could not configure the languages I wanted the atto plugin to display to the user. Do you have a manual that can address these issues? I'd be willing to give this another try if I can get it to work, solving the above problems.
