We look forward to implementing this. This will fit in nicely with some requests that we have. We will be changing the icon though (um, XXX doesn't have good connotation for schools).

There are two issues with Tex notation, one is that wordselect splits on gaps so you would need to remove any gaps (view in html mode is a good way), and another thing is that it may contain delimit characters, so for example square braces are common so you might want to use @ instead, e.g. @\(+x\)@

Hello Marcus,
Thank you for this plugin. It works great with texts, sentences, ... but we are in trouble when trying to use it with TeX notation : we got something like 'x' on the screen while trying to write '+x' in TeX.
Do you encoutered the problem ?
We use Moodle 3.3.3+ (Build: 20171201).

Have you tried with square braces [country]. You can try importing the example questions that come as an xml file with it and you can also try experimenting with it on the Gapfill course here http://vledevelop.co.uk/moodle, or take a look here questiontype.co.uk/mdl

It is what I need. I have installed it and all is fine except it says No words to select have been defined. I add many sentences like this:
Which @country@ @consumes@ the @least sugar@ per person? 3 selections
What is the @maximum@ recommended number of @teaspoons@ of @sugar@ that a person should @consume@ a day?4 selections
What could the problem be? I use lastest version of Moodle. thanks

Hi Fritz, can you post this question in the quiz forum with a screen shot. I have just tried your text on a Moodle 3.1 installation without reproducing it and when I get home I will install a Moodle 2.9.x and test it on that. Can you double check there is not any unexpected HTML in the question text (I cannot think of how that would affect anything, but you never know).

when I use the following question text:
word1 word2 word3 [word4] word5 word6
and click on 'word4' in the preview, 'word4' and 'word5' are highlighted as being one item.
As I mentioned, it's a Moodle 2.9.3 with the gap_select_version 2016062501

What do you mean by 'range of brackets doesn't work correctly?'

Has anybody this great plugin working with a Moodle 2.9.3? It seems that the range of brackets doesn't work correctly. Can anybody confirm this behavior?

Thanks German, your Wiki docs for it are really good. Tim Hunt advised me on the aria labels and the NVDA screen reader but I have little experience in the area so it would be excellent to have other people look at it. I will work on fixing the strings so it will work with AMOS translation.
