Hi Richard,
When I add a question to the page, the navigation buttons (Home, Next, ...) of the page (in attempt mode) disappear. Why? Bad setting? Where?
I have version 2019102600 (Moodle 3.7). Thanks!

Hi Elizabeth. Initially I hadn't added the capability to record attempt grades to the gradebook but the later versions have that. Also the summative options for both lesson and gradebook (IP restrictions, randomizing the questions, timers, feedback options and so on) are more comprehensive than my simple plugin. Also note that my version only supports some question types and you cannot branch on a question response currently. Not to say these things couldn't be re-visited if there was a strong demand. I guess the other issue would be that the quiz is fine as is but if upgrading the lesson is wanted why not upgrade the existing lesson by simply allowing pluggable questions? In this regard there is a plugin by Tim Hunt and OU which allows questions to be inserted anywhere in Moodle text so adding that to the existing lesson might be a better route.

Why would you say “For summative activities use the quiz or lesson“? Just timing and access restrictions?

I know what a coding error is wink did you find one I can fix? If you need random questions I suggest the quiz is what you are looking for. For me, random questions make no sense in the context of this activity but please feel free to discuss further, I'm not saying it can't be done if there is a good reason for it.

Hello Polaris. Please try it and see smile The main differences are the ability to add basic question types from the question bank and the simplicity of branching which is simple sequential so it doesn't have complex paths through it. Why not visit the demo page?
