@Jared - no, the block only supports progress bars, not detailed progress boxes. You can click on the progress bar to get detailed information.
I don't quite understand your second question. The checklists can either be custom items that you add yourself, or a list of the activities in the course, checked-off when they are completed.
would it be possible to make this the completion of both the submission and peer review phase in the workshop?
Is there a way for the check list block to display as a mini "view progress" bar, similar to how the progress bar block works? It would be nice to show in that bar where there were gaps in completion.
Example:http://moodle.org/plugins/view.php?plugin=block_progress
Aaahhh yes, I had set a student & teacher list assuming wrongly that gave both users the same access. The disappearing "save" button turns out to be a feature - there is a save button in your demo video so I was expecting to see it; but now I see it is updated by ajax as soon as clicked.
Good work @Davo - all is working.
@Alan - what type of checklist have you set up. If it is a student & teacher checklist, then the progress bars only update when the teacher confirms that the student has completed the items.
If it is a student-only checklist, then that is a bug - please report it to tracker.moodle.org (although, fixing bugs in the 1.9 version isn't a high priority for me any more).
Please wait a moment, then navigate away from the page and back again, to see if the checks were actually saved.
Hi this sounds perfect for our needs ... but it has a problem. I've installed the 1.9 version as we have Totara which I suspect has something to do with the problem.
Having added a checklist activity with a few items to check, viewing the activity has the "save" button hidden (apparently by javascript, not in html). If I use firebug to expose the button and submit the form, data seems to be saved (checkboxes are checked) but progress bar is not updated; I suppose this is also a javascript issue.
Is this likely to be fixable or must we wait until totara moves on to moodle 2 in a couple of months?
thanks
Alan
Kerry - sorry it has taken me a few days to respond. I note you have also reported this to tracker - CONTRIB-3526. I'll take a look at this when I'm next updating the checklist plugin (which may not be for a week or two).
Hi there - this is a really great module - one issue though - for the section/module checklists - the name of the topic is not being displayed properly. For instance, if I re-name Topic 2, that new name is not picked up on - the check list for that section only displays 'Topic 2' as the heading.
Cheers
