Peer Work

The Peerwork plugin was designed to replicate functionality of WebPA in Moodle allowing a peer weighting to be applied to assignments. Using this plugin teachers still grade the assignment, but available marks are distributed between students based on peer ratings.

Hi Richard, I'll take a look at upgrading the plugin in the next week.
This is a great plugin!
Just the business to help teachers award different grades to students who submit groupwork assignments.
But the plugin needs some love. A couple of unanswered comments above and the need to update the plugin to Moodle 5.2.
Do we need to fund this development work? If so, how?
This plugin is in use at University of Warwick. We've just noticed that it doesn't work correctly with activity completion in that if you set completion criteria and the first student completes, it then shows the 'Done: [completion criteria]' label for all other students. Has anyone else experienced this?
Dear team, thanks for all your great development work on this plugin. We hvae just recently added it at the University of Nottingham, UK. We are now on Moodle 4.1 and have had some comments from our academics that the Peer Assessment activity doesn't appear to feed into the timeline on the dashboard for students, as other assessment activities do. This would be a great new feature, as the timeline is much more prominent in 4.1. Are there any plans to update the plugin to engage with the calendar API and push deadlines for Peer Assessmenet activities to the timeline? Thanks!
Thank you for your message, @Amanda Doughty.
First of all, this plugin is great, congratulations. I hope the Community will help in its continuity. We are using the 3.11.0 (2021052403) version (we are in Moodle 3.11), I expand my questions:
On one hand, is it possible to set the tutor's grading on a score of 10, instead of a score of 100?
On the other hand, in the activity is it always necessary to have a grade from the tutor to get calculated grades? It is possible a calculation that only takes into account the peer evaluation, without the tutor's mark. I see that the activity forces to include the tutor's grade to make the final calculation, so the Peer assessment weighting can never be 100%, even if the option appears. If so, is there a possibility to download an excel with the peer grading?
Take a look at these screenshots for clarification: https://docs.google.com/document/d/1pQw0I5ygfmbHQ_diWhO9-qnAgfvKcDVoDiDmQKuMm2Q/edit?usp=sharing
THANK YOU VERY MUCH for your help.
Apologies all. My email address changed and I missed these comments. I no longer work for the institution this plugin was developed for. I will continue to maintain the plugin but it is unlikely that any major new features will be added, unless they are contributed others.
Hi @Feng-Cheng Chang - there is a bug tracker issue for this. I will be looking at any outstanding issues in June
Hi @Scott hallman - this is not currently possible. Could you log it as a feature request?
Hi @artur santos - it is mandatory to give every member a rating yes.
Hi @Anabel Benito - could you expand a little and provide a screenshot?

Hi, I would like to know if it is possible to avoid the tutor grading in the activity. I configured the percentage Peer assessment weighting in 100% because there isn't any other Weight, but it seems that it is compulsory that the tutor puts a grade group out of 100. And in case that it can't be done, is it possible to change the Grade group maximum puntuation from 100 to 10? Thank you!
Hello! Great Job.
Is it mandatory to evaluate all elements of the group?
Great plug in. much simpler than workshop without all the maintenance. Wondering how I can deal with group presentations where individuals grade a group of students and they all get the same mark?
Hi, I have mod_peerwork 3.11.0 on my moodle. When setting a peer work assignment, I use some HTML formatting elements in the "description" box. However, it seems that HTML formatting is stripped from the view page. All the students see a single non-formatted text paragraph. Is there anything I can do to show the formatted description on the view page? Thank you very much.
@Amanda I do not think they are the same. The one that is already reported is about the calculation result. But the bug I found is about the data in the download Excel sheet is different from the data in the Moodle web page. I have wrote down this issue with screen shots in bug tracker.
Hi, there is a bug related to 'Export all group grades' function. If teacher changes the penalty of students with no submissions from 0 to a number after giving group marks in each group, the final marks are calculated with penalty. However, when clicking 'Export all group grades' button, the final grades in the downloaded Excel do not involve the influences of penalty. But, if the penalty is set up before students give peer assessment submissions, the final marks in 'Export all group grades' Excel sheet are calculated with the influence of penalty.
Thank you. I am attending Moodle Moot next week, but I will look at these asap after that.
Thanks for the quick response Amanda, I've done that.
Thanks for reporting Stephen. Could you file a report on these issues in the bug tracker and I'll take a look?
