Hi Ger,
I don't know of anyone working on this...
In the meantime, we have had to decide that we don't support this plugin anymore. That's why I have put it into the plugin adoption programme and that's why I am sorry to tell you that we won't publish a 3.2 version anymore.
Thanks,
Alex
Is one of the theme_boost experts working on this?
Hi Ricardo,
as usual, there will be a 3.2 version within 1-2 months due to our internal release cycle.
And, as usual, we expect the 3.1 version still to work on 3.2. So please give it a try and let me know if you encounter any problems.
Thanks,
Alex
Any upgrade to Moodle 3.2?
Just got this working, thank you..
for others that come across it, I have documented a little on how I got it going..

Hi Alexander,
I installed the filter "TABS" in the moodle version 2.9. It works great.
Kind regards,
Michael
Hi Michael,
there will be a 2.9 version within the next 1-2 months, but we didn't start working on it due to our internal release cycle.
I didn't receive any problem reports about running the 2.8 version on 2.9 up to now, so please give it a try and let me know if you encounter problems.
Thanks,
Alex
Hi Alexander,
when will the TABS version appear for moodle 2.9 or does the current version also work on Moodle 2.9?
Kind regards
Michael
My apologies, I must have missed your reply for me to ask again. Anyway, still both plug-in works a treat!
Hi Usman,
you asked me the same question in november and I answered you. The situation hasn't changed since then...
Alex
Alex, can this be used with your static_pages plug-in as well? (means showing tabs on static pages) though didn't worked for me.
Hi Alex!
a) The problem appears in the Moodle core "more" theme, which is my standard theme and I have no other themes installed yet.
b) I'm using filter_tabs with bootstrap tabs setting on! Without using bootstrap tabs (using standard filter YUI tabs) there is no problem with the custom menu.
c) I created a custom report with all information on Github.
Thanks a lot for your work!
Kind regards,
Georg
Georg,
thanks for your feedback about the compatibility to Moodle 2.8.
I will update the plugin repository version information as soon as we have run our own 2.8 tests in january based on our local release cycle.
Thanks for your bug report about the custom menu, too.
I have to admit that we don't check the custom menu as we don't use it here locally.
Could you please:
a) tell me if the problem appears only in your local Moodle theme or also in the Moodle core "more" theme.
b) tell me if you are using filter_tabs with the bootstrap tabs setting set on or off
c) create a bug report with these details on https://github.com/moodleuulm/moodle-filter_tabs/issues so that we can keep track of the problem?
Thanks,
Alex
Hi Alex!
I have tested your Plugin on a Moodle 2.8.1+ instance and can tell you that it works like a charm.
There is only one issue I have discovered some minutes ago: After activating the tabs plugin the custom menu items in the navbar do not work properly. When clicking one item its submenus are not shown, clicking another item suddenly shows the submenus of the previous clicked item.
Thanks for this great work!
George
Derek,
as the filter is pretty simple, I don't expect that it will break with 2.8.
However, as stated in the plugin's README file, our testing of 2.8 and our plugins will not start before christmas, due to our internal release cycle. If you can confirm that the plugin works for 2.8, I would be happy to hear your feedback so that I can add this information to the plugin repository.
Thanks,
Alex
