Hello,
Thank you for this great plugin.
Could you please tell me in which order the assignments of a course are listed? Is it ID or assignment name?
Thank you very much
I love Grade Me, and all works well. However I have two things I would like to see fixed, if possible.
Grade Me assignments should open on a new tab, so that you don't have to go through all the navigation each time. AND If a quiz question is set to zero, it seems Grade Me does not recognize the quiz as being completed and will not clear it, even though the quiz is awarded a mark in Moodle.
What is the status of this block? Is it actively developed?
Since Moodle 4.2 seems to require all references to the old Assignment 2.2 be removed, the Grade Me plugin will need to do the same thing. It would be nice if it could be done soon.
Seems to be four places in the lib.php file and the whole assignment folder in the grademe/plugins/ folder.
I've tested this and it seems okay in Moodle 4.1, and in Moodle 4.2.
Hello.
I read this thread (which is now locked)
https://moodle.org/mod/forum/discuss.php?d=412559
I don't use groups but I want to assign an assignment to a given teacher. All students take the assignment, but the assignments are assigned to one or another teacher.
I installed the Grade Me block but I don't see how I can do that. Can you help?
Cheers,
Sébastien
Hi Dave,
Many thanks for the quick reply. I have both teacher and admin rights, so I should be able to all unmarked assignments. This is exactly what I wanted to know, thanks again!
@Ian - the grade me plugin will work for admins who have the ability to see all students across all tenants - however it doesn't work as well for people who are non-admins and therefore cannot see all students across all tenants.
Where this is mainly noticeable is if I put the plugin onto the dashboard, I (as admin) can see all unmarked assignments across the entire site, however the average non-editing teacher will see very little, as they will only submissions from anyone in the same tenancy as them.
If I add the plugin at course level, it does work - it is only if you add it as dashboard level that it doesn't work due to the multi-tenancy issue.
This plugin looks like exactlly what I need! We are using Moodle Workplace - does this plugin work with it? We will be using teh Tenancy functionality in Workplace, and I saw a comment that that may cause issues.
Hi Dev team.. Great plugin
Having an issue with site speed. Plenty Ram, Stirage etc. New VPS server 16gb ram etc etc.
Currently upgrading from Moodle 3.5, now sitting at 3.8.9 and installed the 3.8 version of the plugin.
Issue is for the Teacher / Trainers the plugin really bogs the system response time down from page to page.
The plugin is displayed on the Main page for the trainers / teachers
We have noticed that the assignments for a course are listed in the Grade Me block in an order we can't seem to change. We have two "chunks" of gradeable assignments, and "Chunk 2" is always listed before "Chunk 1." Within each chunk, the assignments are sorted in the order we expect (the order the students work on them). But the "chunks" are in the reverse order we'd expect them to be. Is there anything we can do to affect the sorting? Or should I submit this somewhere to be looked at?
I believe the issue is that the Authenticated User role is defaulted to "can view blocks" ( or maybe I added that permission to the authenticated user role so they could see blocks on the Dashboard... I can't recall now), so a student due to the authenticated user role can see the block, but alway with the "nothing to grade" message. I have to remove that basic "view blocks"permission 100% of the time each time I copy a course or add the grade me block to a new course. So I think that's what is meant by the student role can see it. This was persistent in Moodle 3.5, 3.7, and currently on 3.9 for me. Again, maybe I added that view block role so other blocks could be seen outside of the course.
Hello,
I'm working on the upcoming release, and am just following up on the discussion here. Currently I'm not seeing any specific problems with this block working on Moodle 4.x:
* When the Grade Me block is added to a course homepage it is visible to the Administrator / Course-level managers and is not visible to students by default, unless they've been granted additional permissions within the site that are different from the default. I do see that the submissions to grade are for some reason visible to the site admin even when the block_grade_me_enableadminviewall switch is disabled, but that seems to have already been working that way in previous releases so I've created an issue on our internal tracker to followup on that.
* When supported activity types with ungraded submissions are present and the cron task has been run, the ungraded submissions show up as expected in the Grade Me block for grading.
* When the ungraded submissions are marked as graded by the instructor, they then disappear from the Grade Me block as expected.
As always if you see any specific problems with the Grade Me block that you believe are bugs please do feel free to create an issue on our GitHub tracker at https://github.com/remotelearner/moodle-block_grade_me/issues with full detailed steps to reproduce including Activity type, steps taken to submit assignment and confirming that scheduled tasks have been run via cron, what page the block is being added to and viewed on, etc. We will post the new Moodle 4.1-compatible version on this page as soon as it is available, however running the Moodle 4.0 version should work currently on 4.1 since there are no significant changes.
Hello,
We will be working on a Moodle 4 release of Grade Me block over the coming weeks, and will publish the new version as soon as it's available.
It should be made clear somewhere in the plugin's desceription that this WILL NOT WORK for version 4 of Moodle.
Will there be an update for Moodle 4.1?
