Hi Jacek,
thank you for your questions:
1) Yes, the plugin uses the calendar built in Moodle. It creates automatically calendar entries for the users
2) Access restriction can be configured the same way as for other plugins. But there is no internal group-mode for the activity. Groups are used in a different way by the plugin.
Hello David. Got some questions:
1. Does the plugin have some built-in calendar for participant to show all his/her reservations? Or maybe it is possible to integrate the plugin with some other calendar tools/plugins?
2. There are some plugins that allow to make groups of participants; then I can, for example, use access restrictions based on group memberships. Does your plugin allow to use some sort of participants grouping (like someone books a seat in course 1, as a result he is placed in group 1, and this gives him access to group-restricted activities).
@Tien: You want to use the plugin in the Moodle App? Or do you need special web services? Right now it is not yet compatible with the Moodle app. The Moodle App integration might be implemented in the release after the next release. But it is not a priority for the moment.
Question: Would it be possible to access some of the functionality of the plugin via webservices? if yes, is there a link to the list of webservices?
Thank you @David for updating us with the approximate release date for moodle 4.
Dear Max Aver. At the moment we are implementing quite a lot new features and are rewriting essentials part of the code. That's the reason for the late release of the Moodle 4.x version. Our current estimate is withing 3 weeks from today.
Kind regards,
David
Could you please provide the ETA for the v7.5 (Moodle 4.x compatible) release?
Dear Cindy, this plugin is an activity not a block. So you have to add it like a usual moodle activity.
Hi - Does this plugin work for Moodle 4.0? It seems like I was able to install it, but I can't find where to add it to my site. I tried Dashboard > Edit mode > Add blocks but I don't see it in the list of blocks. Can someone please assist?
Good morning,
I don't understand the fields related to the poll entry.
Someone help me?
Dear John Anderson,
for bug reports please use our bug tracker: https://github.com/Wunderbyte-GmbH/moodle-mod_booking/issues . Please provide Moodle version, plugin version and detailed steps how to reproduce the problem.
Thank you and have a great day,
Kind regards,
David
Any plan to add a premium version?
Amazing plugin. would love to use it in moodle 4. Is there an estimated time frame for moodle 4 release? 1, 2,3,4,5 weeks?
Cheers.
Hi David B. Just want to thank you for the response, will hold off on that. I noticed today when editing a booking option, the title field showed strange characters in the field like:
Mental Health First Aid Training#?#46f4a
I could just delete those and save fine, but it odd, little worrisome. What could that be ?
Dear John, you can define the custom fields at site admin level first and then use it in the booking option. But: This feature is going to be discontinued in upcoming versions and will be replaced with Moodle core custom fields. Actually the feature is already implemented, but we do not have a migration script yet so we can't publish it for moodle.org as it would break current usage of custom fields.
