As far as I know none of the AMC members use the Ad-hoc reports plugin, therefore we do not have any experience with it. In any case, if you think your work should be documented with the Grouptool docs please open a GitHub issue and we will have a look at it. If you have any question with respect to the data structure of the Grouptool plugin, open a Github issue as well.
I've been writing some SQL queries for the Ad-hoc reports plugin, looking at the data stored by the grouptool plugin. It took a bit of experimentation because I couldn't find any documentation showing anyone else's attempts. Where is the best place to share this? The general ad_hoc_contributed_reports (https://docs.moodle.org/401/en/ad-hoc_contributed_reports?) page is unwieldy, verging on unusable.

Are the groups automatically updated when new students enroll in the course?
