Once you add the addinstance capability, you can add a new version at: https://moodle.org/plugins/addversion.php?id=659 and then schedule this plugin for reapproval at: https://moodle.org/plugins/view.php?plugin=block_coursefeedback&approve=0&sesskey=V2pWrdXJzQ&redirect=https%3A%2F%2Fmoodle.org%2Fplugins%2Fview.php%3Fplugin%3Dblock_coursefeedback - for now I am going to mark the plugin as needing more work but it is pretty close to being ready. Peace - Anthony
p.s. - Documentation can be created and maintained either via Github's wiki or via Moodle Docs
Jan - Many thanks for sharing this plugin with the Moodle community. When you get a chance, it would be good to add some documentation for how to install and use the block. When I installed the block, I received the following notice:
The block coursefeedback does not define the standard capability block/coursefeedback:addinstance
In Moodle 2.4 every block is expected to have this capability. For more information about the addinstance capability see:
http://docs.moodle.org/dev/Blocks#db.2Faccess.php
I think we should take care of that before making the plugin available to the public. I think we can simplify the description and move out some of the information into the Useful links section (like Issue tracker, Project page, etc.). Moodle plugins only accepts GPL compatible code so I think the licensing information in the description may be redundant. I've gone ahead and simplified things to make it easier for the user.
I was wondering if you might say a word about how the functionality and use of this plugin differs from that of the feedback module. In particular, a global feedback can be used to do course evaluations. What are the advantages and/or possible limitations between this block and the feedback activity module?
Thanks for your patience in working through the plugin review process. Please do not hesitate to let me know if there is anything I can do to be supportive of your efforts. Peace - Anthony
