Here are another few suggestions based on my user experience of this excellent theme of yours :
- I have noticed 2 small "bugs" with the lateral menu icons, as visible on this screenshot : https://drive.google.com/file/d/1EI7gg-n-eV3iYPoEK1HUKJX2_NtvJyPY/view?usp=sharing
The first one occurs when the menu is fully spanned and shows a different icon for the second course in the list of courses (it shows a file icon similar to that of the private files instead of the student hat that is shown for other courses).
The second bug happens when selecting the home page as the default connected user homepage : the dashboard icon then turns into a "house" icon (just like the one that is used for the home page) whereas, when the dashboard page is set as the user's default homepage (default value), it shows a different icon (speedometer).
Another thing, (though I am not so sure this is really a bug), is that, for one of my courses (out of 9 separated in 5 categories), I keep seeing a folder icon appear below the courses list (and right above the site administration button) : when clicking on it, it redirects me towards the corresponding course page. I wonder why it is so for this course only and not for the others ? Please note that I have deactivated the private files repository and made it invisible for students.
- Being able to personalize the default "laptop" image that appears for all course sections using the topics format (show one section per page) would be a really nice feature !
Well, this is enough for now : thanks for helping and thanks for your great job !
Yannick
I would like to change (if possible) the front page default values according to the user's language.
For instance, if users select the English language, I would like them to read "Our partners" as the clients section title and to see a specific URL appear in the footer whereas, if they select the French language, they should read "Nos partenaires" instead of "Our partners" and see a different URL in the footer.
In order to do so, I have been trying to use the multilanguage filter as well as HTML tags, (Our partners). It does work for certain elements of the frontpage (e.g. the text in the head banner), however, HTML tags are not recognized / filtered everywhere on the frontpage.
I have also been trying to modify the default values in each specific language pack and then left the fields empty in the admin interface, (I was hoping default values would automatically appear according to the selected language but it just leaves the fields empty).
Any idea / trick to solve this issue ?
Thanks for helping,
Best,
Yannick
