Hi Pete,
Are you using the Poodll subtitle editor? This is a plugin for editing subtitles. If you are not editing subtitles with Poodll, you are better to post your query in the forums. You will get more people looking at it, and more appropriate responses.
If you are using Poodll subtitle editor
.. you would just translate each entry line by line. Or you could use the export feature to translate the whole file and then the import feature to bring it back in again. Poodll subtitle really just expects one captions track, its not really set up for multiple subtitle tracks,.
If you are no using Poodll subtitle editor
.. Post again in the main forums. And add more information including ... How are you using Google Translate? Do you mean in the Google Chrome browser? Or do you go the Google translate page and enter the URL?
Where are the subtitles coming from? Did you make them? Are they already on the videos ... where are the videos coming from? Are we talking about Vimeo or Youtube or CloudPoodll hosted videos + subtitles .. or did you upload subtitles and videos to Moodle directly?
And are you actually creating and editing subtitles, or just wondering why Google won't auto translate what you are seeing in your browser?
I am using google translate which will translate everything but the subtitles in my videos. What am I missing?
Hello Jastin, can we create captions in Arabic? Or it works only with Latin alphabet?
Thank you very much! We'll test it! smile
Hi Anna. This is possible. You need to use either the Poodll filter or the VideoEasy filter. But this page is an example of how it can look (for audio):
