Where should issues for this plugin be raised - https://github.com/marinaglancy/moodle-mod_groupselect or the one linked as "bug tracker" in "useful links"? It's not clear!
Hi Sidd. Actually there is no option to change or reset the passwort. The goup Passwort is associated with the activity. So one option is to add a new "Group select" activity with the same settings and the group password is gone. Another option is to delete right row in the database table groupselect_passwords. I will add a issue for adding an "edit Password" button for Editors. Best wishes Roger
Hello. Some students set the password for the group, and they forgot it. They have asked me for the password recovery. I tried to manually change the group password, but the change doesn't work. So, is it possible to change or to reset or to recover the group password?
Thank you
Hi Marina, I think I found the problem. Checked the logs teacher didn't add. It's not exceeded actually. When a group reach maximum member(e.g. 3), group not visible in 3-member groups. Then it appear in 2-member groups. I explained details in github.

Hi Emrullah, are you sure that teacher did not add this third student manually in groups management interface? If not and you believe it's a bug, please create an issue in github
Hi Marina,
We've started to use plugin this semester and using last version. In course section I added 2 different group self-selection. One is for groups of two other is for groups of three. I limited their number of members, for example, min 2 and max 2 member for groups of two. However, 3 student joined a 2-member groups. How is this possible? It says maximum number reached but actually it exceeded. Under the count header it says "3/2". It is supposed to hide full groups from the main view. Why it's not hidden? Am I doing something wrong?
Best regards,
Emrullah
Hi Michael,
I'm not quite sure what you mean saying "missing" here, can you write more details please? Maybe create a screenshot - you can submit an issue on https://github.com/marinaglancy/moodle-mod_groupselect/issues
Hello Marina, Hello Roger,
thanks a lot for your work. Just one thing: I'm missing the "action" field in the table of groupselections. Was it intented?
Greetings,
Michael
Thanks Marina for putting your hand up for this one...
(Thanks David.)
I have uploaded a new plugin version for Moodle 2.9, 3.0 and 3.1 that fixes version incompatibility, and also implements backup/restore, export from current grouping only, corrected CSS styles to prevent conflicts with other modules.
Many thanks to Rog (HTWChur) who has sent a pull request with fixes and improvements https://github.com/birrel/moodle-mod_groupselect/pull/15
Please use the git repository https://github.com/marinaglancy/moodle-mod_groupselect for checking out code, reporting issues and submitting pull requests.

We've lost contact with Pirkka and this plugin has not been actively maintained for a while. I am happy to announce that Marina Glancy volunteered to take over the maintenance of this plugin and becomes a new lead maintainer of it. She is going to provide updates here soon. Thanks Marina, and good luck with the maintenance of this plugin!

This is a very useful plugin. Will the 2.8 version also work with higher Moodle versions such as Moodle 2.9, 3.0, 3.1?
Hi Pirkka,
Are you actually maintaining this plugin anymore please? As this: https://github.com/birrel/moodle-mod_groupselect/pull/7 is nearly a year old.
Kind regards,
Gareth
I have come across an interesting anomaly with this plugin. It appears that I cannot add an embedded image into the Description box, by uploading an image using the add image icon in the Atto editor. I can display and image if I link to an external image via URL though. Anyone else experiencing this?
Breaks word wrap in moodle 3.0. E.g. Front page description, new account creation.
