Research has shown that mastery practice with feedback is an effective learning strategy. This is when a learner has the opportunity to keep practicing something until they’ve mastered it. What if you could turn Moodle into a mastery practice platform? INFERable’s Mastery Practice Plugin does just that. It gives learners an alternative learning path to practice and master competencies at their own pace to support success within formal courses, or just to refresh a skill they’ve previously learned. Any course can have a sidebar set of mastery practice widgets, each linked to a specific competency or performance task. On each widget is a gauge that predicts success on the next attempt based on prior attempts. When a student clicks on the gauge, it brings up a sequence of practice items. The gauge uses a web service provided by INFERable with AI that uses de-identified activity data to predict success on a learner's next attempt. INFERable is a public benefit corporation with a mission to make a material positive impact on systems of education, training, and human development.
