In the development of the Moodle plugin we've followed the guidelines for general development of plugins in Moodle, so the block should continue working in upcoming versions unless there is a change that for example removes block functionality.
Did you encounter a specific issue with the block that you'd like to report? If you have an active account with us you can write to our support team for technical support, or if you have a request for a specific feature/change in the plugin you can submit a ticket in GitHub: https://github.com/andstenberg-rs/moodle-block_readspeaker_embhl/issues
We are currently looking at releasing an updated version of the block towards the beginning of December, which includes some changes, new setting features and general improvements.
