LabNBook                                                                                              

LabNBook is an electronic lab notebook (ELN) that helps student write their reports before, during or after their lab sessions. In LabNbook, learners have access to all the tools they need to engage in advanced scientific activities such as: designing experiments and writing protocols, processing and modeling results (with a modeling tool or with Python), producing experimental diagrams, and writing texts with equations (using a specialized tool or Latex). Teachers can structure students work, monitor progress in detail and provide feedback using a variety of tools. Visit https://labnbook.fr/en/ for further information.

When students access a LabNBook activity in Moodle, they are redirected to a LabNBook instance, without having to authenticate a second time.

Install

After installation, the plugin must be configured to exchange with a LabNBook instance which must be installed separately.
You must have an admin access to LabNBook in order to create an institution that is linked to the Moodle instance.

Install this module like any Moodle plugin.
If deploying from Git, use [composer](https://getcomposer.org/download/) to install the PHP dependencies.

cd /path/to/moodle

git clone https://gricad-gitlab.univ-grenoble-alpes.fr/labnbook/moodle-labnbook mod/labnbook

(cd mod/labnbook && composer install --no-dev)

php admin/cli/upgrade.php

Then log into Moodle with an admin account.
You will be prompted for the new plugin configuration.
Input the URL of the LabNbook web API and other settings displayed in the LabNBook admin view.
