With the local_obf plugin you can handle your Open Badges created in Open Badge Factory in single or multiple Moodle site.

This plugin enables users to:

• Issue badges to students
• Create badge awarding rules: based on course completion, based on activity completion, or on profile completion.
• Get badge awarding history
• Display earned badges on profile and connect the Open Badge Passport badge wallet

Installing the plugin

This plugin requires an OAuth2 API key provided by Open Badge Factory (a Pro account is required).   

Multi-tenancy support

• You can connect one OBF account to multiple Moodle sites.

• You can also connect multiple OBF accounts to a single Moodle site using individual OAuth2 API keys.

Warning: about the plugin version 2.0.0 and newer

A Pro-level subscription is required for plugin versions 2.0.0 and newer. Organisations on Basic or Premium plans should not upgrade to this version as this plugin no longer uses the OBF APIv1. OAuth2-based API keys are now required. Obsolete legacy API keys (APIv1 client-side certificates) must be replaced with new keys. To continue using the plugin, ensure your OBF account is on the Pro level and that you have access to OAuth2 keys.

Notice : support & compatibility

This plugin is compatible only with standard versions of Moodle. It is not guaranteed to work with modified Moodle core versions. Additionally, please note that we do not provide support for this plugin in the comments section of this page.
