Showcase

The Showcase block allows listing and highlighting the courses that are available on the platform so the people can know them and learn more about their characteristics before enrolling in them.

If the user is interested in one of the courses shown in the block, they will be able to enter and read information such as comments, duration, learning objectives, course topics, subject matter experts, among others, before enrolling. The information is displayed according to the description made inside the courses, in the dynamic fields defined for this purpose.

• Different views in block instances: recent, greats, premium courses.
• Filter by Course categories in each instance.
• Configuration to display selected dynamic course fields (metadata)
• Special feature to work Premium users and Premium courses.
• Different filter options in the catalog view.
• Configurable social networks through which course information can be shared.
• Optional integration with: block_rate_course, tool_courserating, enrol_fee, shop plugins, and other.
• Includes SEO Open Graph meta tags dynamically: og:title, og:url, og:description and og:image.

Note: We recommend using the enrol_customredirect plugin with Vitrina. This component allows users without access to view the Vitrina details page instead of the default Moodle page.

This tool was born with the sponsorship of the Universidad de Medellín, to whom we are very grateful for their support of free software. It has also grown with the contribution of other institutions such as the Universidad CES, the Grupo fek, CIDET Capacita and Fyco Learning. Currently, BambuCo supports it and keeps it free as part of our commitment to the Moodle community.
