Student tries to upload assignment using Moodle Turnitin.
Error: Session ID missing from URL. I was able to upload the assignment. I changed her email address to mine and it work.
For some reason, her account/email does not allow to upload the assignment.
She is the only student in the instructor's class is having the problem.

This sounds like a really sensible step forward. We're starting to plan for the 2013-14 academic year and are wondering if this will be available in time.
Thanks for any news you may have.
I like the plugin, and I would like to continue to use it. I might switch to Turnitin Direct next year.
The new plugin developed by Turnitin will likely support all their different products however I'm not sure to what level - you would need to discuss that with them as they are doing the development.
If you aren't using a plugin at the moment - using Turnitin Direct is the "safest" option and you will have some level of support from Turnitin - however if you use my plugin and have issues you can post here in the forums but you might need to pay me for my time to help resolve some of your issues if you can't resolve them yourself or via the forums here.
My plugin will be deprecated by the new plugin they create - so eventually I'll stop supporting my plugin as people migrate to the new plugin.
Here is the email I received from them:
Thank you for contacting the Turnitin Help Desk.
Before I request this change to be made I need to make you aware that this integration is not one that was developed by Turnitin so we can not provide support for any of it's functionality.
We have developed 2 alternative Turnitin moodle integrations (Basic and Direct) that offer the full range of available Turnitin features along with some other additional functionality. More information on these integrations can be found on the following websites.

I just want to make sure that it is safe to use this plugin and that there will be support for it in future and currently it doesn't support peer marking, and it will be great if that can be added to it.
this post from a Turnitin developer states they have a plans to support the old api for a long time:
https://moodle.org/mod/forum/discuss.php?d=221570
not sure why you're getting conflicting reports - bounce me an e-mail and I can forward your issues onto my Turnitin contacts.
But, according to Turnitin they do not support this plug in and there are no plans to create a new plugin that will be backward compatible with this plugin. They also disabled the Dan Marsden plugin on our account.
This poses a huge problem, because now I have to change to another plugin and I don't like either the Moodle Direct or Basic.
So what is going to happen now with the Dan Marsden plugin?
i am upgrading moodle 2.0 to moodle 2.3. In moodle 2.0 we have turnitin integrated and i have the turnitin account ID and shared Key.
For moodle 2.3 do i have to generate the turnitin accout ID and shared key again.
i have followed http://docs.moodle.org/23/en/Plagiarism_Prevention_Turnitin_Settings#Activation_of_your_Turnitin_Account link but did not generate the shared key and account ID since i am using the old account ID and shared key.
i am getting the following error while saving the account id and shared key using the steps: Settings > Site administration > Plugins > Plagiarism Prevention > Turnitin
Error:

please help me in this regard,
Thanks in advance.
Quick question about 2.4. Are you planning to (when maybe?) update your plugin for 2.4?
I thought I'd plug the latest 2.3 version from github in but get " Coding error detected, it must be fixed by a programmer: PHP catchable fatal error"
line 96 $file = $linkarray['file'];
Any suggestions? Thanks in Advance,
V
While I was translating the turnitin plugin for Moodle 2.4dev, I noticed a strange-looking English language string that I think is a typo:
2.4beta [tiierror1024,plagiarism_turnitin] "Turnitin could not process this file - it does not meet the Turnitin criteria for a legitamate paper"
"legitamate" should be "legitimate" (I think), as it is in the 2.3 version of the plugin.
Thanks in advance for your help.
