Thank you very much for reporting this issue! I've investigated the bug and I'm happy to let you know that it has been completely resolved in the latest version of the plugin (v1.2.0).
Currently, the Moodle.org Plugins directory is in a transition period and is locked for new updates until the new Moodle Marketplace launches after July 20th. As a result, I am unable to push the official update through the Moodle interface just yet.
If you need the fix immediately, you can download the latest release directly from the project's GitHub repository here: https://github.com/xseon/moodle-enrol_gapplya/releases
Otherwise, the v1.2.0 update will be officially available for download via the Moodle Marketplace as soon as it opens.

In enrollment application settings leaving the enrollment start & end dates unchecked = unlimited duration. We are not finding that to be the case with enrolment request. The default dates are for 1970. This causes an issue, where when students are enrolled into the course they show as "not current."
