Inspired by Lewis Carr's 2025 iMoot presentation, "Reimagining Course Design for the Streaming Generation". This format borrows heavily from streaming platform UX affordances. Each course unit is a "learning episode" with the episode content coming from H5P, SCORM, YouTube URL's, etc. The episode takes up the majority of screen space, with a sidebar dedicated to "related resources" and "related activities".
Edit mode preserves a familiar topics view, for course setup and configuration. Non-editing view hides most of the Moodle UI, with some elements hidden behind toggles.
This is an early beta, so there is lots of room for improvement. That said, I am already using it in production with a small cohort of students, so it is stable. Community feedback is much appreciated!
