Activity Tracker

Initial alpha release

This is the first public release of local_activitytracker.

Activity Tracker records lightweight learning-activity and time-on-page signals in Moodle, stores them as hourly buckets, and aggregates them into daily and hourly summaries for reporting and plugin integrations.

• Browser-based active/focus time tracking, excluding idle and hidden-tab time


• Optional Moodle Mobile app tracking when web services are enabled


• Report Builder datasources for user, activity, site, and device/browser summaries


• Stable public PHP API for other plugins to read permitted summaries


• Direct database storage and optional MUC-backed buffered storage


• Configurable tick interval, idle threshold, active-time limits, and retention periods


• Privacy-first defaults with hashed IP address and user-agent values


• Full Moodle Privacy API support for metadata, export, delete, and user-list handling


• Buffer and exporter subplugin extension points


• Support for Moodle 4.5+ and Moodle 5.x public webroot layouts
