AI Course Format

Section cards now read like the course index. Each activity listed on a card carries its module icon, its estimated time and a completion tick, and hovering a row shows the same completion detail the course index shows — what completion requires, which conditions are met, the grade and the completion date. Both surfaces share one implementation, so they cannot disagree.

Progress is animated consistently. The hero banner's ring, bar and percentage count up from zero; section cards use the same instrument at card scale, starting when the card scrolls into view. The activity banner's completion ring draws itself. All of it is skipped when prefers-reduced-motion is set — the final value is shown immediately.

The settings page has been rebuilt. Sixty-three entries are grouped into ten colour-coded areas, one open at a time, with a search box. Every setting is numbered within its area and illustrated with a small wireframe of the part of the course page it changes; force… settings are drawn as three courses side by side to show they apply to every course.

Settings language rewritten in plain English, with each term explained where it appears — for example "Show the course index (the side menu listing every section and activity)".

Site navigation is shown to teachers by default, so teachers keep Site administration and Dashboard while students get the cleaner view.

• v2.1.11 - Marketplace release (19 Aug 2026). Version and packaging bumps on top of v2.1.2 — see v2.1.2 and v2.0.0 for the substantive 2.x changes. Requires Moodle 4.4+, supported through Moodle 5.0.


• v2.1.2 - NEW: 'Show activities on cards' course setting (off by default) — each section card can list up to four activities with their completion state and a +N overflow link into the section; visibility follows the same rules as the rest of the plugin, so learners never see an activity here they cannot see elsewhere. NEW: per-course override for sharing assessment answers with the AI Tutor — the site setting becomes a three-value select (never share / always share / let each course decide); the site setting is the ceiling, and the AI index cache key carries the effective resolved value so two courses can never be served each other's index. FIX: course settings form no longer emits a developer debugging message for the missing bannerimage_help string.


• v2.0.0 - MAJOR: first release prepared against the Moodle Plugins Directory approval checklist. Minimum Moodle raised to 4.4 (the plugin's hero banner and AI Tutor depend on a footer-injection hook introduced in Moodle 4.4); supported range now Moodle 4.4 - 5.0. SECURITY: the course AI Tutor report now requires the new format/aicourse:viewreport capability; quiz answer-key leakage via the activity-context endpoint closed (access checked against the caller's visibility of the activity); chat correction is now a distinct, auditable operation behind the new format/aicourse:correctresponses capability; the unauthenticated diag.php diagnostic endpoint was removed. PRIVACY: real privacy provider (metadata, export, per-user / per-context / bulk delete) replacing the previous false 'stores no personal data' declaration, including disclosure of the outbound transfer to lms-labs.com. FIXED: the General section (section 0) no longer disappears from the course home page — it always renders inline above the section cards, covered by a Behat regression test. ADDED: event observers that actually purge the coursecontent cache when course content changes, so the AI Tutor no longer answers from stale content; course deletion cleanup for chats and AI memory rows; new format/aicourse:useaitutor capability to stop a role from sending data to the external AI service; database indexes on format_aicourse_chats matching real query patterns.
