Hi! Whe I try to add Media Player resource in the course it returns two notices and one error:
1) Notice: Undefined property: stdClass::$notes in /*/moodle/mod/mplayer/lib.php on line 139
2) Notice: Undefined variable: DB in /*/moodle/mod/mplayer/locallib.php on line 37

Hi there,
I was wondering how compatible Moodle is with enterprise video streaming paltforms like VIDIZMO. Their site says its compatible with LMSs (https://www.vidizmo.com/streaming-media-products/virtual-academy-corporate-video-training-learning-platform/) but I was wondering if you could shed some light on that?
Best,
Bruce Tubbs
Hi , I am using moodle version 3.2 , but I am trying to add media player as an activity in the course ,
I am getting following error Exception - Call to undefined method HTML_QuickForm_Error::isFrozen() , Kindly help me to solve this issue
hi ! do you mean it would be worth to integrate also M4UFree IOS as technology alternative in Mplayer module ?
Hi matt i thank you for my status upgrade. I will work ASAP for publishing the moodle 2.x and 3.x releases.
Hi Matt, we left over the track of passing the hand on new moodle versions of the plugin for Moodle 2.x and 3.x. As far as i remember, the owner of the Moodle.org plugins record can add additional contributors with version publishing permissions. Might you check so we can push out actual versions ?
For those who seek a up to date code of the Mplayer plugin with some rework, you may try the http://github.com/vfremaux/moodle-mod_mplayer code on branches MOODLE_27_STABLE up to MOODLE_32_STABLE.
These versions have been rcodd to work on those newer versions, with some work for cleaning up settings, and integrated futher releases of flowplayer (specially HTML5 one). The cleaning and testing all old and new features is not full complete yet, but there was some work about :
- Reorganising storage to use Moodle 2.x storage
- Completion tracking. (we can do more....)
- Trying to implement a simple integration of an Apache H264 pseudo streaming on a sideway server, o a wowza streamer (unachieved)
- Implementing events and qui breaks. (worked some times but not fully stable)
Cheers !
Hi Mohamed,
It sounds to me like you're looking for a streaming media service and media player (RTMP) rather than a media player only. The best one I can think of for Moodle is the JW Player. Here's the Moodle plugin: https://moodle.org/plugins/filter_jwplayer and you'll need to talk to them directly about the streaming media service: https://www.jwplayer.com/
I hope this helps!
Hi,
I need technical assistance or any compatible plugin for moodle 3.1 with the below features.
1. The mp4 video during playback must not have fast forward function. The student need to complete the entire chapter.
2. The video must resume from where they quit, must have the ability to rewind.
3. The video playback must have the function to play in different resolution in order to have a smooth payback during low bandwidth. ( 360p, 540p, 720p and 1080p)
4. The ability to have playback speed for video.
5. Auto tick, marked or untick for completed chapter, video.
6. Video with captions ( subtitles ) on/off option
Hi Valery, any updates on a release of this plugin for Moodle 2 and 3? Thanks.
H Matt, just saw your message above.
I think the way to do it is to add me as co-maintainer so i can add Moodle 2.X and 3.X versions to the plugin repo
Thanks !
