Hi We are currently testing 4.5 and 5.0 for September ; eager to check the plugin with our platform

I am using your plugin in a Moodle course and I have a specific use case that I'd like to confirm is possible with the current version of Re-engagement.
My requirement:
* Send a weekly reminder email to students who have not completed a specific activity
* Continue sending these reminders until the end of the course (April 30, 2025)
* The course is already ongoing and students are already enrolled
* I want to start sending reminders from now until the end of the course
Is it possible to configure Re-engagement to achieve this for an ongoing course? If so, could you please provide guidance on the correct settings to use, particularly for:


Notify user: After delay


Notification delay: 1 Weeks

Reminder count: 10 


In activity completion


Reengagement duration: 10 weeks

I want to ask if this plugin supports Moodle 4.5 or not because I don't see here the button "Install Now".
Second, your plugin is still working and send emails for hidden courses that have end date expired.
How to fix this please?

@Vano - it's an activity module not a "local" plugin - you need to add it to a course by turning editing on and selecting to add a reengagment to the course.

Hi. I've installed the plugin successfully however I see no settings/configuration page for it pop up, and it is not listed in my local plugins list. However, when I try to "Install plugins from the Moodle plugins directory" it says the plugin is already installed. Would appreciate some guidance. Thanks

I have an odd issue where the system is sending out reminders even though they have completed the activity. Yes, I have set for the notifications to be suppressed when the activity is complete. Any thoughts?

@Pedro - unfortunately that's not something currently supported.

I've been analyzing the plugin settings, and it seems there's no option to prevent re-engagement tasks from being counted in the progress bars of any theme. Could someone assist with this?

@Beatriz - that sounds like an old bug that I think has been since fixed. we don't support old Moodle versions that are no longer supported by Moodle sorry!

Hello,
When I enter a course and click on the plugin, which has been already configured, a list of participants appears.
For some participants, the Completion and Notify time is weird, 1/01/70. What is the reason for that? Because the enrolment date, on the other hand, is "correct": Tuesday, 23 April 2024.These cases include students using different methods (manual enrolment, autoenrol, self-enrolment), each student only one method, so this should not have any effect.
I'm using Moodle 3.x, upgrading in the next monthts to moodle 4.1

@Angela - there's not built-in report that allows for that at the moment sorry - you might be able to get something using a custom sql report, but you would need a developer to help write that for you.

How can I see who did receive a notification sent out by the plugin? The logfile seems to show everyone in the course despite setting a target activity to surpress sending a notification.

@Michel - anything is possible but it's not something that is currently supported by the plugin and would need a developer to improve the plugin to support this. If you have internal development capabilities, pull requests are always welcome, otherwise feel free to reach out privately if you would like to fund improvements to the plugin.

Hi, I just installed your plugin and seems to be great.
I’d like to know if it’s possible to add in the e-mail somme informations from custom profil field.
By example when I create a user profil using CSV, I had some important data in few custom profil field,
by ex: the date of a course in class, the address of this course, and the time. et .
So I would like this informations be send in the first e-mail my student will receive 5 minutes after enrollment start for the online course.
Those informations are not the same for each student, this why I put them on a custom profil field.
I saw it’s possible to add informations like: %city% %department% etc .but I need more.
Is it possible?
If yes how?

Hi Mike - sorry to hear of the issues you've had - what you've described there doesn't sound familiar so if you feel inclined, feel free to report that info to the github issues tracker - make sure you include info on your Moodle version and the re-engagement version you are using as well. The re-engagement plugin while powerful is definitely not very easy to use and is well overdue a rework, there are also various other plugins like mod_pulse that you might find easier to use and may meet your requirements - good luck!
