Hi Paul,
On multiple occasions in the past, I have written to the maintainer and have received a reply saying there would be a new release soon and that the delay was due to health reasons. While waiting, I've just kept a version up to date at github, as mentioned in previous posts. I'll try and contact him again.

Hi Daniel,
Are you going to register this as a new plugin if you cannot update the exhisting one? It would be nice to get it officially verified for use so that I can request it from our I.T. department to go on our live server.

Hi Hussain, you can get a copy of Skype that works with Moodle 3.0.4+ from here: https://github.com/drachels/moodle-mod_skype/tree/MOODLE_30_STABLE
Switch to whichever branch you need, then click the Download Zip button. Extract the files and upload to your moodle/mod folder. Change the folder name to skype then go to Notifications to complete the install.

I have tried to contact the maintainer, Amr Marc, without a response since July 2014. I have made updates myself so I could use this activity. I have versions for Moodle 2.7, 2.8, and 2.9. Over the next few days I will try to get it up on github. Meanwhile, if anyone wants a copy, contact me.

I have triede and installed it and there is issues wit deprecated code. So atm its not working

Hi, this is useful add-on as skype connection teacher-student is handy for a distant contact.
I would be very glad if the "mod_skype" addon will be maintained.
