Onetopic format

Maintained by David Herney
Course format that allows showing each topic in a tab, keeping the current tab between calls to resources, in such a way that when it returns from a module as the blog or the glossary it returns to tab from where you started. This format is based on the Moodle standard format: "Topics".

Hi Yvonne,
Yes, it is working fine! Thank you very much for your help.
@christine with editing turned on go to Tabs Edition Utilities area at the bottom of the page and then Disable Asynchronous Edit Actions....then click on the move icon this and a box appears at the bottom of every section where you can move it to.
Hello there,
I am trying to move activities from one tab to another but I haven't really found a way to do this. Is this possible somehow?
Thank you
Hiding a tab hinders the edit section button of that tab. The "edit" link cannot be clicked. It appears that just a small spot on the right hand of that link show the "hand" which opens the edit link.
Ready!! Compatibility with moodle 3.1+.
Please, test and send me feedback.

Hi Jeetendra...
It's not an error, it's a functionality. You can put your title or header manually, if you want, for example using a label. In this way, the teacher can decide like show it according your preferences.

I used Onetopic format in moodle version3.0, my problem is when I hide tabs bar (No/Yes) I select Yes. All topics/heading tabs are hidden on the upper side on the content. At least heading must show on the upper side on the content. I have also raise this problem in the forum.
Hi there, we have many courses that utilize OneTopic format but in testing in v3.0 we have come across a problem with formatting while using certain themes. I am just looking to see if others have had similar issues and if there is a fix? Maybe I should contact the theme developers, as well. The themes we are currently running into issues with are Overlay, Afterburner, and Anomaly. Thank you for any help!
Hi Yvonne...
The "Mazorcal" version is not the correct version for Moodle 2.9. You need install the "la madera" version (2015051700).
I don't know how moodle define the news about plugins that need be upgraded, but the Onetopic format has all required features in each version.

Our version on OneTopic hasn't notified of an update via the Plugins Overview page since we installed 'mazorcal' 201401200. We are running Moodle 2.9 now and update plugins every six months yet in the Moodle plugins directory there are many newer versions of OneTopic. We should have picked up several of the newer versions by now. All our other plugins on the Plugins Overview page are showing "There is a new version available!" next to them so is there a problem with this plugin? Is anyone else not receiving the "There is a new version available!"? Are the newer versions all stable?
Hi Jukka...
usually, it is a problem with the graphic theme. In some cases, you can use the next line in order to correct the problem.
.format-onetopic .onetopic .tab_content { display: inline; background: none; }
Put it in the CSS file into the current theme.

Hi, We are testing onetopic format in our Moodle 2.9.5. Look's like it works fine but tabs don't look like they should. I mean text is not inside borders. Tab is like divided to three rows. First part of the border then text and second part of the border. Something like that:

topic

Any idea what to do?
Hello - we use and really like this OneTopic plug-in as a way to provide information to our users. We would really like to be able to color the text. When we add color tags in the HTML strange things happen. Any chance this is something that can be added to the wish list. Thanks!
Hi, i installed onetopic but i get an error message on bottom of each topictab:
"Function print_section() is removed. Please use course renderer function course_section_cm_list() instead."
I am using a Tikli theme with 3.0.....any advice on this error message? Thank you!
Hi Rafael...
the course format not create the news forum, this is created by the block "News items". Add this block in your course and the forum will be created automatically.
