Hi all! We've released updated versions for Moodle 3.1 - 3.4 and we will be maintaining this plugin. Sorry for the delay.
Herman Cosmin; I was upgrading this plugin after each new major release for years, I agreed to move the repository under your name because you agreed on maintaining it. Since you adopted this plugin no new versions have been release, you do not maintain it and you do not reply to people's questions. There are lots of sites using this module and this number of sites using it is decreasing since you adopted it (some stats here https://moodle.org/plugins/stats.php?plugin=mod_journal) We had discussed this in the github repository and you are not even replying to people concerned with this module future. I think that it would be better to hand this plugin maintenance to someone else interested in really maintaining it.
When will be released the version for moodle 3.3?
@Herman - we're at the end of the month and there hasn't been an update - if you're not able to support this plugin please pass it back to the community so someone else can do it properly.
"The work students submit is visible only to the teacher and not to the other students." --> says MoodleDocs. But is by any chance possible to make the student contributions visible to other students?
Yes, the plugin will be updated to support Moodle 3.3 by the end of the month.
Hello,
Will this plugin support Moodle 3.3?
Copying a question for Herman Cosmin from Journal module forum: https://moodle.org/mod/forum/discuss.php?d=356784
Hi!
Please reassign this bug (https://tracker.moodle.org/browse/CONTRIB-6594) to Herman Cosmin or somebody from his team
Thank you!
Hi all.
Is this plugin still supported?
It is a really good one, which is why we are currently using it.
As the admin of our Moodle i also have to check for potential security risks.
Regrettably unsupported plugins fit that description, which would be a great loss in this instance.
Thanks.
Hi Herman,
The "Version" tab doesn't say support for 3.2. So is it safe to assume that the plugin will work on Moodle 3.2 without issues? are there any known issues encountered while using it in 3.2?
Also is there an official release in the offing for 3.2 version? If yes, do we have a tentative date?
Thanks!
Hello all, I am not responsible of maintaining journal module anymore, Herman Cosmin and his team adopted the plugin, they will be upgrading it. Regards
Hi David,
Do you have plans to upgrade for 3.2?
Thanks, Catherine
Is there any chance this soon be compatible with the Mobile Moodle app? I just checked the 3.1 version, in our 3.2 Moodle test environment, and it still shows as incompatible.
Hi David
On "my" page (..../my/) there is always an indication that you have a journal/s that needs to be completed. (It doesn't matter if she is a student or a teacher, if the journal has been completed or already received feedback) Is there any roundabout? We reported it in: https://tracker.moodle.org/browse/CONTRIB-6594
Moltes gràcies!!
