Thanks for the info Graham, just release 3.1 version.
Hi David, thanks for the info i've just tried installing the 3.0 version but it won't let me install it as it's not showing the 'Install' button for my 3.1 site. Any way around this? Cheers,
Hi Graham, yes, I will in the near future, but I've just tried it and 3.0 version works in 3.1
Hello, just wondering when this is going to be updated for 3.1? Thanks
Hi Rama,
Thanks. The filepicker for the students submission editor will be a new feature in the Moodle 3.1 version of the journal module. There is a unique journal entry for each user, you can create multiple journal activities as an alternative, although not ideal I can not think of any other alternative using mod_journal.
Hi,
I like this Journal Plugin. Each student / Participant sees his own journal entry. I am on Moodle 3 and installed the latest version of your plugin. As requested by everyone it still dosen't seem to have the file picker/ attach option. Can you add this functionality ? . Is their any other plugin that can be used to create this kind of a private document within moodle ? Can we have multiple journal entries per user
Thanks
Regards
RK
Thanks for the suggestion Tim. Can you please create an issue in https://github.com/dmonllao/moodle-mod_journal/issues?
Hi,
We're using activity completion and noticed that with the Journal the only option for automatic completion is when the user receives a grade. Could we have an option to have it automatically marked as complete when they submit something?
Thanks for commenting AL. Yeah, that would make sense too (feedback with full HTML editor capabilities) feel free to open an issue and I/you/anyone can work on it at some point. It is basically the same than in https://github.com/dmonllao/moodle-mod_journal/commit/f81296b8025095d4bc51c6d9fa1f49e5cdfd5f55 but would require extra stuff, db structure change to include feedbackformat, an upgrade process...
This is great news David. I just downloaded and installed your master branch into one of my Moodle 3.0.1+ sites and admin, teacher, and students can all add pictures and media. So far I have added a picture, embed a video, and made an audio recording using PoodLL Anywhere and they all worked great. Looking forward to the official release version. Just wish I had the skill to help more with coding so we could get the same capability added to the feedback.
Hi Yazie, no, it is not supported, I've seen the same question repeated a few times , both here and in the forum, I've created https://github.com/dmonllao/moodle-mod_journal/issues/16 to address it, it I can find time to work on this these next weeks I would backport the change to Moodle 3.0.
Hello, I am using Journal with Moodle 2.6. We are thinking to update Moodle to 2.9/3 so I was wondering if the latest version of the Journal allows to insert media as (images and videos) to the entries? Thank you
Does Journal work with 2.9?
