Thanks Rex, we're all up and running now. Our IT dept were giving me the wrong keys from the wrong section. Amazing plugin, thank you so much!
Daemon, what is your institution's Zoom account? For example, for us our account is at https://ucla.zoom.us
In your institution's Zoom account you are getting the REST API keys from Advanced > REST API. More info at: https://support.zoom.us/hc/en-us/articles/201363043-Getting-Started-with-REST-API
I believe where you are assuming the instructions are for Moodle 1 is from the line "Zoom API url (mod_zoom | apiurl), Default: https://api.zoom.us/v1/"?
That is just referring to Zoom's REST API location. You shouldn't have to change that.
To verify that your REST API secret and keys are working and that LTI is working for your account, please try out this sample PHP script from Zoom support: https://support.zoom.us/hc/en-us/articles/201811633-Sample-REST-API-via-PHP
I'm a bit confused as there are no specific, clear instructions about installing this plugin into Moodie 2+. The only installation instructions appear to be for an older version of the plugin (Moodie 1 +???). So far I have put the api key and secret in and am getting the message: "The Zoom API key and/or secret are invalid. Please ensure they are correct."
As far as I know, the key/secret I have entered ARE correct. I have even regenerated another and tried that ... Still no luck. I'm not even clear where to go for help with this. Have scoured Google and there is nothing. Rex, would you please update this plugin with more information about installation/troubleshooting? It's all a bit light on documentation.
Hi Rex,
I tried sending you a message, but it looks like you're only accepting messages from those in your contacts. We really like your Zoom plugin. I'm wondering if you have any plans to integrate recording or if you'd be interested in contracting to custom develop something that includes recording? Send me a message if you're interested and we can discuss details. Thank you!
I have been trying to convince zoom.us to allow me to have the key for one host but they keep looping me with get an education account. I did find out that you can add the key to as many Moodle sites as you wish. Anyone interested in collaborating?
this looks great.......but the pricing for Zoom is too excessive for our needs. To use this plug in, you need access to the Zoom API with the basic price for that is $1500 USD per year. You need the Zoom business account and they insist you have minimum 10 hosts with such an account. If they (Zoom) only have 1 host for such an account then this would be ideal.....The plug in sounds great but we cannot test it and we are not paying $1500 per year for a zoom account. oh well.

Thanks Rex for sharing this module with the community. I did not have a chance to test the functionality itself. Yet the overall coding style is very clean and mature. While reviewing the code, I spotted there is a tiny issue with the plugin's language strings definition and reported it to you tracker. Once that is fixed and a new version uploaded here, strings should get registered with AMOS automatically.

For now, I am happy to approve this plugin. You are cleared to land, welcome to the Plugins directory!
