Excellent plugin and very useful. Congratulations!
Could you please add the following lines:
- blocks/quickmail/config_qm_form.php (line 38)
'Fullname' => get_string('fullname')
- blocks/quickmail/settings.php (line 49)
'Fullname' => get_string('fullname')
From already thank you very much.
Best regards.
Verónica.
Hi there,
We are running Moodle 3.1.1 and we have some issues with the "filter by potential groups" function in Quickmail (2015122912). The "FERPA Mode" is set to "Always separate groups" as default.
When the individual group is chosen for the first time, the "Potential Recipients" gets highlighted properly. Then if I pick them again, the recipients are no longer highlighted.
Do I miss anything here? Or it is a bug?
Thanks so much in advance for any help and/or tips.
Cheers,
Bei
Anyone running this on 3.2?
@Stephen Overall - We are running Moodle 3.1 and using the current version of Quickmail. It's working normally for us. smile
Thanks for maintaining this excellent block! We have been using it since Moodle 2.5 and have been very happy. One question that I cannot seem to find an answer for in the code: When an email is sent out, why do email bounces come to the support email contact (the tech team) instead of the sender (typically the course instructor). Also, is there a way to specify a custom reply-to? Thanks in advance for any advice you can offer.
+1 for a 3.1 and 3.2 upgrade. Please & thank you. I can't move to Moodle 3.1 or 3.2 and leave this very useful plugin behind.
+1 for support for 3.1 and 3.2. There seems to a fair amount of bugs that have accumulated now over the last two years since its last release in Dec '15.
+1 for a 3.2 upgrade. Please & thank you. We've got a number of faculty who use the plugin frequently.
Would be really appreciated if Quickmail was made compatible with Moodle 3.2
I just tried to upgrade but since this plugin is not yet 3.2 compatible the upgrade did not go through 8-(
Any timeframe when a new version can be expected?
Any upgrade to Moodle 3.2?
In Moodle 3.1.1, we are seeing a lot of these notices when debugging messaging is turned on:
Notice: Undefined property: stdClass::$username in /var/web/wwwroot/ws/lib/moodlelib.php on line 5735
This didn't happen in 3.0.2. We traced the code and here are our findings:
"Line 5735 is in the email_to_user() function in the main core Moodle Library, moodlelib.php. Since Moodle 3.0.2, this library function has been partially rewritten, and now requires that the passed user object include the username property. This was not required before. Quickmail passes only partial user records which do not include this property."
We're probably going to patch QM ourselves to resolve this in time for a deadline, but I just wanted to see if this is a known issue.
The most recent version of the plugin appears to work just fine in Moodle 3.1.2 and Firefox 47.
Selecting/adding recipients doesn't work with Internet Explorer 11.
Works with Edge, Firefox, Chrome and Safari.
Using QuickMail v1.5.5 2015122912 and Moodle 3.0.5

Great plugin. Does someone know if moodle 3.1 is supported with the current version of QM?
Hello,
Thanks for this great plugin. I have a question regarding re-using drafts. My situation is that I would like to create some drafts in a course and the re-use these time after time. What I see however is when I access a draft and I choose the recipients and send the mail, the draft-message is deleted from the draft list. Is this by design of some sort of bug?
Thanks for any assistance with this issue.
Regards,
Sam
