To Matthew and Robin, As far as I know it works fine in 2.8, please let me know if you find a bug. I have used it and tested it on 2.8, but only in a test environment and not in an actual live instance.
Hello @wael tarek , Can you tell me exactly what you were doing when you got that error?
when I try to install this plug in I get the following error
error/tool installaddon/err curl http code
any help?
Does this work in 2.8?
Any issues with using Quickmail on 2.8?
@David Elliott the problem is that when i send to a few users everything works fine, when i send to more than about 20 it fail to all...
@André I'm not sure if I understand the problem you're having. There is not a defined limit in quickmail. Your server might have one though.
@James Foster,
The from email address is grabbed from the USER Object that is currently logged in and using quickmail. Currently there is no way to change that.
We do not have that on our list of things to do for quickmail. Always willing to look at pull requests though if you'd like to develop that or know someone who might. It hasn't been considered for our school because we decided that we'd never use attachments at the admin level anyway, since there would be so many recipients.
Hello, I just wanted to ask if in the future the developers have a plan to put a filemanager in the admin level of sending emails for attachments.
I can´t see where is the limitation of sending mails to determinated users.
Is there a limit users i can send?
Works well in 2.8. However, where does the " from: email address" originate. I need to change mine because all of the emails sent have the same "from" email address.
Does anyone have experience using Quickmail on 2.8 moodle?
Dylan,
That most likely means you have no users in your course where you have installed quickmail. However, it could also mean that those users aren't set up to receive messages.
Blair,
At LSU we use the term section, I am going to change that soon though for other schools when they download quickmail from here.
Thanks,
Dave
