We have been having some issue with quickmail running on 2.6+. I know it is not yer approved for 2.6, but it has been running OK. The problem I was having is occationsally when I send email to multiple people, the email does not set sent to some of the people in the list. I have go back to history and send it to those people again. I looked at the system log and they do not seem to return any error. Has anyone seen this type of error? Is it because of it is running on 2.6+?
Thank you.
Bump! Would really be keen to get 2.6 release.
Is a 2.6 release coming soon? I have just upgraded and now realised I cannot email students in a specific module. Loved your simple Quickmail.
Is a 2.6 release coming soon?
Our developers will certainly give it a look if you are successful. I cannot promise it would get incorporated, but if it is functional and useful, I cannot see why we would not include it. Thanks!
Hi Buddy,
I might take some time to modify QuickMail in order to include user which have role assigned to participant of a given course (which is the case of the Parent role).
Are you open to include my patch in case I succeed to do so?
Regards
Playing a bit of catch-up here:
Daniel P.: Our version of Quickmail no longer includes actual attachments. It provides links to the files that are housed in Moodle. It requires that the recipient be enrolled in and logged into the system in order to access the files.
Dennis: We do not do much theme testing outside of our theme and the standard Moodle theme. Sorry.
Bob: Thanks for this. We have added it to our queue and will look into it when time permits. No ETA at present.
Christopher: We are running in 2.5.1 with no issues. Did you install it as a mod rather than as a block?
Daniel M.: This appears to be a theme issue as well. Sorry, but we have no solution for that.
Maxime: Both of those requests are core changes. We are not doing active development for new components in Quickmail currently.
Ryan-Neal: Our current version includes signatures already.
Can you leverage this plugin to customize the formatting of emails that get sent out ... i.e. include a signature when sending out emails.
Thanks.
Hi,
2 questions:
1 - Is it possible to replace the "default" messaging system of Moodle by QucikMail? In orther words, is it possible to send email with quickmail directly from the "Participants" page of a course?
2 - Is it possible to add user with "user role" related to students of a given course? When have setup a "Parent" user role and we'd like to send an email to parents directly from QuickMail.
Thanks
I've just noticed that the date is missing from the history page. Reported here. https://moodle.org/mod/forum/discuss.php?d=227380
Any solutions to this?
I just installed Quickmail on Moodle 2.5+ and am receiving a 500 server error when trying to send mail or to configure it. I would greatly appreciate any suggestions for addressing this error.
With TinyMCE turned off seems like any other format of input results in all line endings being stripped which results in one long run-on paragraph.
Have a formatting issue with the new Essentials theme. Have to use the scroll bar at the bottom to see the right side. Anyone have a fix?
Anyone else unable to send attachments with latest version on Moodle 2.3.7+?
Burt,
It's not a mod. Please install it in the *blocks* folder on your Moodle.
