Hello,
I made several changes and fixes to Auto Enrol plugin and I submitted a pull request to Mark on Github last December to merge to his repository.
My changes are on Github (https://github.com/bobopinna/moodle-enrol_autoenrol) and, if needed, I could help Mark to maintain Auto Enrol plugin.

Congrats, nice plugin! I'm no programmer but I was able to alter the code to filter by username, instead of email, for a specific purpose.
We have a few users-to-be from an external database, who we need to "reserve" the enrollment so that they get in the course when they signup on first login.
That would be nice from you to officially add "username" to the filter options.

We've been using this plugin and it has been very useful. However now we need to upgrade our Moodle 3.1, so we're wondering if this plugin will still work well or will the plugin be developed to be compatible with 3.1?

Hi, your git repository does not fullfill the moodle standards, which means it is impossible to add the plugin into an existing moodle repository. version.php and all source files belonging to your plugin have to be in root of your git repository and not in a subdirectory like 'enrol/autoenrol'. If I want to use your git repo I had to clone it in the moodle root directory, which I can't since there is the moodle git repository. Also some files of your root directory are useless (like the xml files) or will change my settings (.gitignore). Can you please change your repository to the moodle standards (https://docs.moodle.org/dev/Plugin_contribution#Repository) ? Thx in advance!

Hi there, just wondering how I can remove auto enrol from a course? I've had it previously setup on a course for a while but now need to stop those users from access the course.

Thanks Jürg. Unfortunately that option is not on our LMS. Is there a setting that we need to enable? The "x" only appears for manual and self enrolments.

At the right side, where you can manage the users "Auto Enrol von Dienstag, 17. November 2015, 21:12 x" you can click on the x

I was wondering if anyone knows how to un-enrol users after they have been auto enrolled. We're auto-enrolling users based on a custom user profile field.

I've tested this under Moodle 3.0.2 and there it's working. I found one problem: when this method is added to a course, there is no possibility to delete this method. You can only make it invisible. I'm wondering if the plugin is still actively maintained, and if yes, this problem could be solved.
