Timetable Digital (integration with timetable.digital)

Timetable Digital is the Moodle connector for your timetable.digital account. It connects Moodle to timetable.digital and displays timetable data directly inside Moodle for students, teachers, and administrators.

This plugin does not create or manage timetable data inside Moodle itself. Your timetable must be created and maintained in timetable.digital, and the plugin then retrieves and displays it in Moodle. timetable.digital offers free plans, so schools can get started before moving to larger deployments if needed.

To use this plugin, you must obtain an API key from timetable.digital. Setup and configuration instructions are available in the project wiki: Moodle Local Timetable Wiki.

The plugin provides a personal timetable view for logged-in users by combining teacher-based sessions and cohort-based sessions in a single timetable page. For administrative users, it can also display denser timetable views with filtering by teacher, class, and day.

Features include online-session indicators, meeting links, Moodle course links resolved from external course identifiers, current-day and current-period highlighting, multi-timetable tab views, and printable/PDF exports. It is designed for schools using timetable.digital as their timetable source and Moodle as their learning platform.

Note

• To display timetable data for students, each student must be assigned to a Moodle cohort. The cohort short name must exactly match the External ID defined in the corresponding class in timetable.digital . If this mapping is not correct, the timetable will not be retrieved for those users.
• For teachers the email in Moodle must match the email in timetable.digital .
