Drag-and-Drop Matching

Maintained by DualCube Team
Drag-and-drop matching is a simple solution that is meant to help learners with matching quizzes. The students must simply "drop" their responses into a pre-defined space from the list of options that are available. The drag-and-drop interface makes learning fun and interesting.

Hello.
We noticed that the Mathjax filter is not applied properly when showing the answers to a ddmatch question. Is that something you could address?
Thanks
Hello @Dácil Blanco Francisco,
We’re currently working on the “ddmatch” update on our end. Hopefully, we’ll be able to share an update with the fix by next week.
Hello, I am working with Moodle 4.5.5+. When I try to import or restore a questionnaire, I get the error message ‘Attempt to assign property “subquestions” on false.’
I have updated the plugin to version 2.5.4 (Build: 2025051900).

Hello, thanks for the quick reply. I have tried various sizes, but the box in which they are shown (in the quiz) stays the same size. I found out that if I scaled down to 90 pixels vertically, the image would fit. But then of course the image would be very small. Here is an image I used:
Hello Jelle, could you please let us know the size of the image you are uploading? It would also be helpful if you could share one such image so we can test it on our side.
Hi, if i use a picture in the questions or answers, the picture is displayed only partly. Instead, a scrollbar is introduced.
How can I show the whole picture? Thanks in advance!
Hello Amir, Sorry to hear about the issue you’re facing. We tried to recreate the same scenario on our end but couldn’t replicate it.
Could you please share a short video demonstrating the steps you’re taking? This will help us better understand the situation and get back to you with a solution.
In Moodle 4.5, we're getting the following error (repeated dozens of times):
PHP Warning: Trying to access array offset on null in /usr/local/www/moodlexxxx/question/type/ddmatch/questiontype.php on line 173
thanks for the quick reply, appreciate it.
Samuel, Thank you for reaching out! We’re already aware of the issue with MDL-83541, and our team will begin working on a fix soon. We appreciate your patience and will keep you updated
Hi! Will there be a new version available for Moodle 4.4.7 / 5.X which fixes MDL-83541 ?
Hello! I am creating a test using your plugin. When I create a drag-and-drop matching test, 3 fields open for me to fill in the values. I can click the "Add 3 questions" button, then I get 6 fields for answers. How can I make it so that when I create a new test element, 6 fields open at once, not 3? So that I don't have to click the "Add 3 questions" button.
Sorry if my English is not very clear.
Thank you for reaching out! I'd be happy to assist you with your query. However, I’d like to get a bit more clarity on your request.
Could you please provide more details about the task creation process you are referring to? Specifically, can you describe where these answer fields appear and their intended use?
This will help me understand the situation better and provide you with the most accurate solution.
Looking forward to your response.
Hello! How can I make it so that when creating a task, 6 answer fields open by default instead of 3?
Hi Juan, please download and use the latest version of the DD Match plugin from GitHub at this link: https://github.com/dualcube/moodle-qtype_ddmatch, and check again whether the issue has been fixed.
