Hi I installed the plugin. I add new reengagement, with restriction access on completion of an activity(quiz) and in email setting I put send email on reengagement completion and I a delay of the reengagement to be checked completed after 1 hour. Now I launch my quiz as student and finished it but no email was sent and reengagement is not checked as completed after 1hour but the email is working in other activities like forum posts. I was wondering this reengagement will start directly after the quiz completion ? And Also I tried to put email settings never send email but also after my quiz completion I waited 1 hour and the reengagement is not checked as completed in the activity completion reports. Please help me I was struggling with this issue around 2 weeks.

Please make sure you are testing with a student account, make sure cron is running on your site, and make sure e-mails are being sent from other activities such as forum posts, it might also be better to ask for any further help in the community forums rather than the basic comments boxes here.
I click in the reengagement activity and the message is "This reengagement is not available"
Ok now I created a reengagement activity with email after delay 5min, restrict access to a quiz completion, and I put the activity completion after 10minutes.
I completed the quiz and waited 5 minutes no email was sent and then waited 10 minutes also in the report the reengagement activity not completed.
So what would be the issue.
the reengagement should start automatically when the student finishes the quiz and email the student after 5min right?
Thanks
I see the issue now - for some reason we haven't added the correct validation to the editing form. the checkbox "suppress e-mail if target activity complete" must be ticked if you want to use a target activity. If you don't tick the box it will set target activity to empty. I'll fix that up.
Ibrahim - you should turn debugging on and see if it shows any errors - you should also make sure the plugin has installed the correct tables. Seems very strange that the settings are not being saved.
I've been testing the reengagement plugin to see if it will work for some of our courses. I think I've got it working one way, but I can't seem to get the Email User: On Completion setting to work. I also can't find this setting mentioned in the docs or forum posts. I'm not sure if it's a very new feature, a broken feature, or if I'm just not understanding how it's supposed to work.
What I think it should be doing is triggering (in this case) an email when the Target Activity is marked completed by Moodle. Let me know if that isn't the case.
Best I can tell though, it does not seem to be saving the target activity for me when I select one. I set Email User to "On Completion," specify my Target activity, and click Save and return to course. I then immediately click to edit the settings of it again, and there is "No target activity selected."
Is this a bug or am I misunderstanding this setting's usage?
[using version 3.1.6 aka 2016082300]
yes - 2.9 is supported. If you are having issues using the plugin feel free to create a post in the "general plugins" forum here on moodle.org
Is this plugin compatible with Moodle 2.9? This page shows it supports Moodle 2.9 but its version number makes me suspect that is not the case? Thanks very much smile
Hopefully a quick question. I have the plug-in installed and running on 3.1.1 and I am a little confused on the setting and what is being shown when I access the plug-in. For example, a forum requires the student to create a post. The forum posting usually happens after the topic quiz is complete. So I have setup the re-engagement activity to start notifications two weeks after the quiz is complete for that topic (it is an open enrollment course). I have suppressed email notifications when the forum requirement is met. I only have three students in the course at the moment and once has already completed the course. However, I see his name (and only his) in the list when I access the activity. It shows the target start of the first notification and the last date notification. Did I set this up wrong?
Thanks for the report - I've just added a patch to the github repository that should fix that.
