Monitoring of learning plans

The main goal of this plugin is to facilitate the work of learning plan managers. It provides an overview of user learning plan, without leaving the page to get information related to this learning plan (such as rating in courses, user evidence, etc.) It also offers statistics by learning plans and competencies. For learning plan templates with a very large number of learning plans (generated from cohorts), this plugin is the best solution, with its advanced filters, it allows you to filter the learning plans by several criterias.

Can this award competency based on course total achieved?
Hi Patricia,
Unfortunately, at our university we won't migrate to 3.9 for at least a few months, maybe more, so we can't work on this for the moment.
But, from the stats I can see that 67 sites are using it with 3.9, so maybe it already work? If you try it, please let me know if it works or if you find any problem.
Thanks,
Marie-Eve
Hi
We've just built 3.9. When will the plugin become available for this version. It looks like the plugin we've been looking for.
Hi Sushumna Rao,
No it is not possible in the dashboard directly. I think you could program a simple block with a link to report/lpmonitoring/userreport.php?userid=ID where ID is the id of the current user.
There is already this link in the user profile, but nothing in the dashboard.

Hi Marie-Eve Lévesque,
We are testing in 3.8. It is very good. Is there a way that report displays in User dashboard? directly?
Hi Caleb,
It is an unimplemented feature. This is because in our university, the report is usually used by appreciators but the ratings in the courses are made by the teachers. The appreciator can't rate at the course level, so we do not need to have this button. We do not plan on implementing it for now, sorry.
But the course name in the first row is a link to the page where this rating can be made, so you can make the evaluation easily anyway.

Thanks, it works now!
Another question, after clicking one of the "Not rated" item, the User Competency Summary pops up. However it's not possible to rate it. Is this a bug or unimplemented feature?
Hi Caleb,
I just released a new version of the plugin (v1.4). It should solve this issue and offer a couple of new functionnalities.
Let me know if it works for you.

HI,
I 'm having the same issue as Richard Bergemann "Unexpected property plans" error at report section.
Have posted on your github forum, would be great if you could help. Thanks!
Hello,
I am trying to install this plugin but was not able to. I got this error message:
Install plugin from ZIP file
Validating report_lpmonitoring ...
core_plugin/corrupted_archive_structure
More information about this error
Thank you for helping!
Thank you, we did figure that out, and after learning more and asking a few more questions of another institution, realized it ultimately wasn't what we were looking for. The export functionality was really important to us as well. Thank you again for the feedback - I love the graphics in this report smile.
Hi Sarah,
You have to add an evidence with the core functionnality (via the User profile > Learning plans > Evidence of prior learning). Than, link competencies to this evidence.
Then, lpmonitoring will show you the evidence :
- in the "In the details" tab when you toggle a competency to open its details (this will only show for competencies that are linked to evidences)
- in the "Report" tab you have a "Evidence of prior learning" column with the number of evidences for each competency
Which one of those does not work for you?
For your other question, sorry, we do not plan to develop export options in a near future. Maybe some other plugins have this functionnality...

Hi! I'm trying this out on our site. I'll be up front and let you know we're on Moodle 3.4. If you don't see another solution to this except to upgrade my site, I understand. I'm asking in case there's another solution. When I run this report, "evidence of prior learning" does not show up for me on the otherwise lovely report. Have you had this come up before and do you know why it might be the case? Thank you in advance ofr any help smile.
Additionally, are there any future plans to have export options - to excel for straight data, or word or adobe to maintain the formatting?
Thanks again,
- Sarah
It works fine with me with Moodle 3.7
Hi Khoirul,
Because we use 3.6 ourselves, we did not have the time to test it with 3.7 or 3.8. In a couple of months probably...
But, from the stats we can tell that many sites use the plugin with either 3.7 or 3.8 and nobody told us that it does not work. So I guess it should work correctly with those versions also.
