Tiles format

Maintained by David Watson
A course format which displays course topics as "Tiles", in a grid rather than as a list. When clicked, tile content is displayed under the tile with an animated transition. The layout adapts to different screen sizes and orientations. Within each tile, activities can also be set to display as "sub-tiles". For each tile, the teacher can pick an icon from a predefined set, or upload a background photo.

Thank you so much for this plugin, it looks neat! We have one issue though when using theme lambda, turn editing on a course - edit button overlaps with the manually activity completion button, do we have a way to fix this?
this works seemless. thanks. I just installed moodle 4.0 and added this plug-in and the tiled course is just beautiful.
Can we expect the beta version for Moodle 4.0 to be released before the end of June? Now is the time to plan the upgrades ...
Great to hear, thanks a lot. I will happily wait until it is finished.
Development is well underway and the beta version is almost ready for review. Before then, I want to check some relatively minor issues with display of restricted items (I'd rather avoid having everyone discover and report issues which I have already spotted). I just updated the message at the top of the page. On your question about the development branch, yes this is still private for now, but I will publish a 4.0 branch soon.
Indeed. The fact that there are no commits to the repo in any of the branches is a bit worrying. Unless, of course, we cannot see them if they are private. But some kind of word on the status would be nice.
Sure, I saw this announcement but I don't know how old it is. If there'd be active development of a beta version I'd have expected the code repository to have recent commits but it was completely inactive since last September. So I'm just wondering if this project might be dead. After all it seems it is more or less maintained by one person.
See description section above:
"Moodle 4.0: The beta version of Tiles for Moodle 4.0 will be released in May 2022. The stable release is likely to follow in June 2022. Significant changes will be needed, so existing released versions of the Tiles plugin will not work with Moodle 4.0. if you want to use Tiles with Moodle 4.0, you will need the update."
It's June now, so I hope we will see the announced beta soon. Hopefully the development process of this plugin will continue as soon as the new version has been released.
I'm also wondering if this will still be updated for Moodle 4.0. The repository hasn't been updated since last September, so it looks as if the project is dead. This would be very unfortunate. Does anybody have more information?
Hello. I also have a problem.
The course page shows the message "Click here if the page fails to load."
I always need to click to open, but I would like the course to open directly.
Is there any way to fix this problem?

Hola,
Gracias.

Our team at Los Angeles Pacific University would love to test and provide feedback on the Moodle 4.0 beta version. How would we go about getting this?
