Drag and drop onto image

As of Moodle 3.0, this question type is part of the standard Moodle release. That is why there is no plugin from Moodle 3.x. You don't need one!

Hi Tim,
Any plans for updating it for newer version of moodle i.e 3.x .
Dear Tim,
I've just installed this Drag and Drop onto image to my Moodle 2.6, now there is a msg stating a missing file and my site became a mess. I already tried to delete the plugin though the C-Panel but there is no file with such a name. my site (teacher-jaque.com) is frozen and there nothing I can do. Could you help me, please?
As of Moodle 3.0, this is part of the standard Moodle release. It is no longer an extra plugin. So, yes, it works!
Hi, Is this plugin working in Moodle 3.1 or 3.2?
thanks
Now possible. Sorry.
Is there anyway to set this question type up, so that the dropzones aren't actually visible? I am wanting to create a question type where I give the students a string of mathematical numbers and expressions, and the students have to drag left and right brackets into this expression so as to make it work correctly. At the moment with the dropzones being visible it makes it very easy to 'guess' correct locations - I tried adding lots of dropzones and they have to drag 'blanks' into the others, but this isn't very user friendly. I know I could use the drag and drop markers question type, but with this the marker is very small.
I am expecting the answer to this question to be no, but asking just in case it is a yes.
Well, you could try upgrading to a more recent version of Moodle.
You could also try renaming the file, so that you don't get %20 and other escaped characters in the URL. Some fire-walls block those for no good reason.
Problem is only with loading jpg image for this type of question (drag and drop onto image)
In any other case it works normal
Hi Tim, thank you for reply.
moodle is 2.6 on SLES 11 SP3
this is url that is taking too long to respond
mysite/moodle/pluginfile.php/4990/qtype_ddimageortext/dragimage/2634/5/2/mailing%20%281%29.JPG
I will try to look in browser options in mean time
I don't see how this question type can be generating 504 Gateway time-out errors.
Exactly which version of Moodle and which version of this plugin are you using? Which URL is talking a long time to load? (In your browser, look under Developer tools -> Network.)
Hello Tim. Great plugin, but I have a little problem. When I create drag and drop question it takes very very long time to load the quiz. If it helps this is output from browser
504 (Gateway Time-out)
It finaly loads but I sense that it should be much faster.
If the question using this plugin is excluded, everything is normal again.
Please help.

Hi Tim
I've just run an experiment on the demo site (3.0.3) and it does work quite well using Firefox. Sometimes it does weird things but it is possible to do drag and drop. However, it does not work with Chrome. As soon as you start dragging the screen scrolls up (as in Moodle 2.9.x both with Firefox and Chrome).
So I think it is time to update my Moodle to 3.0.3 smile
Thanks for your help
I am not certain. You can test Moodle 3.0.x on https://demo.moodle.net/.
Hi Tim. Thanks for your great plugin, my students love it!
I have Moodle 2.9.1 and we cannot drag and drop the items well when we use Android 4.4 or 5.0 tablets.
Do you know if upgrading to Moodle 3.0.1 will solve the issue?
Thanks
Javier
No worries. Thank you for taking the effort to report a problem you found. Sometimes it takes a while to work out where it needs to be reported.
