Drag-and-Drop Matching

Maintained by DualCube Team
Drag-and-drop matching is a simple solution that is meant to help learners with matching quizzes. The students must simply "drop" their responses into a pre-defined space from the list of options that are available. The drag-and-drop interface makes learning fun and interesting.

Dear Keiran,
Please send an email to suman.d@dualcube.com. We will send you downgraded plugin package.
Thankyou.
Hi Duelcube, and thanks for getting back so quickly. Just to clarify things; you are recommending I delete the questions using the plugin from each course, wiping the results for all the quizzes containing the question type, then reinstall the 1.6 version?
K.
Dear Keiran,
You must have used the plugin in your courses that's why you are not getting the uninstall option. At First remove the plugin from your courses then go to the Site Administration -> Plugin -> Plugin Overview -> Drag and Drop Matching -> Uninstall
Thank you.
Hi DualCube, the plugin Drag and Drop Matching does not have an uninstall option either in plugin overview or in Question Types / Manage Question Types. So I'm at a bit of a loss where to uninstall it from. Any help appreciated.
Dear Keiran,
please uninstall the current version at first and then install the version 1.6
Thanks.
Hi there. My instance of Moodle of 3.6. has downloaded and installed Version 2.0 causing breakages among instance has drag and drop questions, about 400 in all, similar to Matthew Cook's issues. I can't roll back and install to version 1.6 as version 2.0 is a newer version of the plugin and Moodle won't let me roll back. Do you know of any workarounds or solutions to this?
Dear Matthew,
Please use version 1.6. This version will be working well with your instance of 3.6.1.
Thank you
Version 2.0 has doesn't work with my instance of 3.6.1. The plugin itself doesn't work, and it breaks viewing results for all question types.
According to https://moodle.org/mod/forum/discuss.php?d=394670#p1592518 (and subsequent replies), it is likely this version only works with 3.6.4 and later versions.
Hi DualCube,
I can't see a fork of Jean-Michel's code on your GitHub.
https://github.com/dualcube
Is it possible that it's marked private or that it's on another GitHub?
Regards,
Jeremy
Hello,
Would it be possible to release a working Version for Moodle 3.6 here please? Unfortunately, the one released on gitbhub did not work for us. Thanks!
You can download the version for moodle 3.7+ support through the forked repo (maintained by ETH) from here: https://github.com/ethz-let/moodle-qtype_ddmatch
The new question div ids for 3.7 are compound of 'question-' . $this->usageid . '-' . $this->slot;. this need to be fixed in yui/dragdrop/dragdrop.js around line 19, in renderer.php you need to use: get_outer_question_div_unique_id() to generate the new compound.
Hello,
Using qtype_ddmatch version 1.6 Drag and drop matching question for Moodle 2.6, 2.7, 2.8, 2.9, 3.0, 3.1, 3.2, 3.3, 3.4, 3.6, 3.7 Build 2019062100 on a Moodle 3.5 site breaks the question where you cannot drag and drop the answers. Upon inspection in the browser console, this shows up.

We have updated the plugin. Thank you.
Dear Martin,
As you know that we have 15 plugins currently on Moodle.org, we will need some time to deliver the updated versions for all of them. Please bear with us. We can not promise any timeline right now but we will keep you posted.
Thank you.
