StudentQuiz

StudentQuiz enables students to collaboratively create their own question pools in Moodle. Students can filter these questions into quizzes, and they can rate and comment questions while working through the quizzes. StudentQuiz computes each students contribution and learning progress and compares this with the community. The created questions become part of the Moodle question bank and can be reused in other Moodle quizzes. The video "StudentQuiz in a minute" tube.switch.ch/videos/d0e37788 provides a quick introduction.

Our current Moodle setup doesn't have that burger-icon
I'll talk to our IT support.
StudentQuiz is not yet optimized for mobile devices, however, it renders well even on smaler size monitors. I would recommend you hide the navigation panel because this gives you much more screen width. You can do so by clicking the Hamburger-icon in the upper left corner of Moodle.
We're planning to create a MoodleMobile version, which will also ease your problem, but please don't expect it before chistmas.
Kind regards, Frank
I really like this plugin and am using it in a number of courses now.
But we have a problem with the layout/rendering of the student quiz especially on the teacher side. The columns for: question, created by, date, and tags are horribly squished together and almost impossible to read.
I think in your videos you use a different layout. We still have the 1/4 left Nav +3/4 content layout.
Do you have any ideas on how we can fix this on our end?
Thanks a lot
Hi Frank, I was wondering if you could take a look at a request for help on the themes forum https://moodle.org/mod/forum/discuss.php?d=364452
where a Moodler 'Ollie' is wanting to override a renderer from mod_studentquiz. I do not have a clue and there is no where to move the post so you are my last hope that a solution can be found for Ollie!

This looks like an amazing activity! Thank you for sharing! We have a teacher who is excited to use this plugin, and after installing it we tried to create a question with a test student account on a Moodle 3.2 instance.
After clicking "Create new question" and setting up a multiplechoice question and clicking "Save", we are sent back to the original screen with the message: "There are no questions in this StudentQuiz. Feel free to add some questions."
We tried again but it looks like something is off--I looked at seeing if overriding a student permission setting might help, but nothing seemed to work.
Then I went in with a teacher account, and then finally with the Moodle admin account and still no question is getting saved. Any ideas on what is missing?
Thanks for all your help!
We've released v2.1.0 exactly for this reason, are you sure you use the recent version? You can find information about this in the release notes: https://github.com/frankkoch/moodle-mod_studentquiz/releases/tag/v2.1.0 and in this issue: https://github.com/frankkoch/moodle-mod_studentquiz/issues/22
So if you're already on newest version, please report us there an issue so we can work on a fix in it's own thread.
