Tiles format

Maintained by David Watson
A course format which displays course topics as "Tiles", in a grid rather than as a list. When clicked, tile content is displayed under the tile with an animated transition. The layout adapts to different screen sizes and orientations. Within each tile, activities can also be set to display as "sub-tiles". For each tile, the teacher can pick an icon from a predefined set, or upload a background photo.

Hello. how can I simply disable the pop up "Data preference" which keep displayed each time I enter to the course , even if I click "yes" to remember. thank you
The navigation bar of the bulk edit feature is not available when using the tiles format. We are on Moodle 4.2.2 with Tiles 4.2.0.1
Hi,
Any news about the upgrade of format_tiles running in php 8.1, I still have some deprecated function.
I'm using moodle 4.1.5+ and the version of Format_tiles is 4.1.0.2 (2023030500).
Thanks in advance.
Can anyone provide any clues regarding my post of Thu, Feb 2, 2023, 7:54 AM showing an unexpected token error? I just don't know enough to be able to troubleshoot this.
Hi,
I'm trying to use this plugin in it's most basic form and I'm disabling the javascript globally in admin so tiles/topics then open in their own pages, but then finding users are then unable to navigate courses fully using only a keyboard.
Additionally, another +1 vote for including the course index.
Kind regards,
Mark
Hello!
I have a problem with the bulk modification too. It is not possible to close the bulk modification with "X".
Thank you for your help.
Best regards
Sandra
Hello, as from Moodle 4.2 and also backported to 4.0 and 4.1, Topics and Weekly format have indentation of activities again. We would really also like to see that in Tiles. Is that something you are planning to integrate?
Great courseformat. Love it! One problem with Moodle 4.2: If you duplicate an activity like url the actionbuttons not appear. After relouding page it works fine. Would it be possible to fix that with the next update? I use PHP8.1.
Hi,
Is there any update re. the scrolling issue? I'm testing it on 4.1 - click on the tile to open the section, but then clicking to use the scrollbar on the right closes the section again, meaning the content can't be viewed. Whereas on our 3.11 site, the scroll bar works allowing to move down the page/section. Same behaviour on both Edge and Chrome.
Hello,
This plugin is very popular with teachers. Thank you for ensuring its development.
However, for the Moodle 4.2 version, I seem to encounter a problem when I want to make a bulk modification. The tab does not appear at the bottom of the page.
Thank you in advance for your help.
Best regards,
Miguël
Hi
I confirm there is a bug with scroll

I made an issue, but it's still in "submitted" status...
There is a start shape icon linked with a Moodle quiz activity. That is the only icon I have edited the file inside the folder plugin name "subtitle", and the changes are not displayed. Does anybody know how to customize it?
Hi - Just a note there is still a scrolling bug with this course format in version Moodle 4.1. If you open a tile and try scrolling up and down for a bit the scrolling functionality gets locked at random and the only way to unlock it is to click the background overlay and start again. This was present in the default Boost theme as well.
Hi! The tiles somehow don't show the description! What am I doing wrong?
Hey, Using Moodle 4 and the template alpha the tile format shows the activity "Textsite" in the back of the tile. Can you fix the bug please?
