Hello Stefan, I'm delighted to greet you again. We had been experiencing issues with the video pro plugin for some time. The video screen was appearing in different sizes each time. Sometimes the video was very small and showed only the play button and little else. Double-clicking on the video even made it hard to enlarge. Interestingly, in full screen, it sometimes showed one set of controls and sometimes another, especially the Picture in Picture control.
I have decided to update the plugin. We are now on Moodle version 3.11.4+ (Build: 20211230) and video time 1.8.2 2024050602. The videos now appear at a good size and the responsive mode works correctly. However, the picture in picture button does not appear. This button is configured to appear on the Vimeo account. Do you know what might be happening? This feature is important for our students. Best regards.
Hi Gian, Video Time supports all video platforms out of the box that provide direct links to the video files (in addition to Youtube and Vimeo). For video platforms that don't offer that, we can add support for that specific platform. If you are interested, please reach out directly to me and we can discuss it.
Hi Stefan,
congratulations for the great plugin. I was wondering if you are considering to allow any type of link to be used. I work at a university in the Netherlands, and we use YuJa as a video hosting platform. I tried to add a link of one of our videos but it does not work. As your plugin has many features that we would need, we were considering to use the premium version if we can make it work with our video platform. Thanks, Gian
Hi team,
I am interested in the paid version of this plug in due to it's completion tracking capabilities, are you able to provide a video demonstration or similar on it's front and back end capabilities so I can make a bit of an informed decision before I proceed
Hi. I recently upgrade to the last version of this plugin and Youtube links are broken, I can't add new links, but my old links works fine. I left a message in github issues.
Cordial saludo
Acabo de instalar el plugin en moodle 4.4, pero me está generando un error al intentar incrustar un enlace de youtube, no lo reconoce, he instalado la última versión, se supone que es la compatible con moodle 4.4, saben como puedo solucionarlo. Muchas gracias quedo atento.
If this worked with Panopto, it would be chef's kiss!
Hi, I have just installed the 1.8 RC version on my 4.0 Moodle, but the YouTube feature seems not to be there. Am I missing something in the settings? Thanks for your help!
I just noticed that with a recent VideoTime update, the notes section is now no longer displayed under the video on all my courses.
The content is still shown in the edit settings but just not rendered.
The moodle versions we are using on one site are:
Moodle 3.11.12+ (Build: 20230303)
VideoTime version: 1.7, 2023011202
We have a couple of other sites with different moodle versions that are now behaving the same way.
Can i pause video ? while taking tab or scrol?
Hi Mustafa,
sure, youtube support was added in Video Time 1.7 — along with support for audio files, video files and externally hosted files (including e.g. dash links).

Hi Stefan,
I hope you doing well. Is there any progress about YouTube integration?
@ramy, sorry to hear that you have issues. We don’t use the eTask topics format ourselves and cannot guarantee that it is compatible. In order to rule out that video time itself has issues, try it with the topics format. If the error happens there, too, then please open an issue on GitHub and I’ll ask my developer to look into it. Feel free to raus an issue in GitHub for eTask as well, but I cannot guarantee that we can fix it on our side. If you do, please provide exact information about the versions you use (video time, moodle, format) so that we can reproduce it.
Best
Stefan
Hi Stephan,
The default player in Moodle is working fine with any issues.
Regards,
after upgrade plugin .. eTask topics format cannot view video time videos
